    Default O/c on ep4t e8400 stability issues

    Hey guys,
    Just got this new m/b ep45t extreme and was aiming for fsb of 450 but i cant seem to get it stable, im running 2x1gb of g.skill ddr3 at 2x multi so its only running at 900mhz so i havent touched any ram timings.
    It is blazing hot in my room but my load temps dont go past 51c(prior to prime95 failure), and the mch temp is around 41c. Ive got cpu multi at 9 and was aiming for 4ghz.
    Ive tried the following settings but am not sure what else to do:
    vcore 1.4v
    cpu t 1.34
    cpu pll 1.58

    mch 1.34
    ich 1.56

    everything else on auto

    ive disabled the other functions in advanced bios options that limit o/c.

    Any help would be appreciated

    What does that 1.4 Vcore set in the BIOS give you in windows at idle and load, check with CPU-z >>>

    I can say now, you likely can leave MCH on Auto, usually more is not needed unless you use more memory. But then again you may need a little for the higher FSB, but not 1.3x sounds like a bit much for that setup. I would try stock 1.1, and also 1.05, then if no luck try 1.15-1.2. But again, not often needed for 2x2GB

    Then please link me to your ram or give me the model #, and your full settings you are using that fail and I will advise back >>>

    settings still fail with mch at auto, will try the other settings shortly. the vcore in cpuz at idle reads 1.392, under load reads 1.376 and drops to 1.360 occasionally.

    Well 1.37-1.39 is for sure not needed for a 450 FSB, so you likely need to adjust some other things for sure

    Please get me your settings you are using now and I will advise back

    Thanks LSD, ive made a few changes, im now running 4x1gb ddr1333 unmatched sticks, i cant adjust the ram settings manually, i have to leave it in auto to boot at 450 and above. ive put it to standard, the 2.66 only bsods so im still on 2.00, ive got the same volts but am now running 500x8 which is stable after 30mins of prime. Once i get a bit of time i will try lowering all the volts, but it wouldnt pass prime with vcore at 1.4 so i wont hold my breathe.
    Any other settings you think i should adjust at the 500fsb?
