Hmm, sorry to hear that! But, at least you now know why you was having such issues.

Well, how much Money would you like to spend? I suggest 4x1 or 2x1 if you want high clocks, but 2x2 can get there just not nearly as high

Team makes good ram I hear, but I have never used them myself. If you want to know what I would get myself it would be one of my suggestions above. The new Crucial's 2.0V sticks seemed to easily clock pretty high for me at minimal voltages with great timings

I notice also that Gigabyte have a new F8 bios and the notes are "Increased Memory Compatibility" - Have you seen this note before from Gigabyte? Is because they have updated their QVL?

They are always adding updates, some you will not see in change logs. So yes, it is possible they have tested many more brands for compatibility, but the actual QVL PDF will not likely be updated at all though

Well I received my Team new ram back from the vendor. Tested both sticks overnight at stock voltage and speeds to make sure they were ok. 17 passes no errors.

Ive managed to use Outer Markers settings to get stable on the 2.40b strap. I had to raise vcore for my chip and managed to reduce termination to 1.1 instead of 1.2. I also found at stock 1066, my ram runs fine at 1.8v!!

I am going to spend some time reducing voltages and will do a long test run tonight on these settings.

Id like to be able to get 4ghz, but cant seem to get there, any suggestions?

Yes, once you get stock speed try to send to sleep your computer, and after wake it up and see what it happens.

Huh? What has this have to do with getting 4ghz? Im sure my pc has got the sleep bug, but I dont really sleep that much so its ok :)

    EDIT

Ok, ive tried lowering voltages, and ive managed to get a few lower, but after a while things got unstable.. I'm not going to try to lower any more.

I want to try and get 4ghz, but cant get above 426FSB on the B strap :(

When using the D strap, I Can boot with 1.362 vcore 1.3 termination, but get BSOD's. Page fault in non paged area and irql not less than equal. No matter what I try, I cannot get stable at 4ghz, even with 1.4v vcore.

If you have success after sleep state, to wake up the computer that means is stable!!
Even if the computer can boot without problems.
    E7300 @ 3336 (X8- FSB 417) - 4x2GB Ballistix 5-5-5-15 DDR500 (2.0 V) in my proper case this configuration is stable. I can push it a little bit high, stable but can't wake up.
    ex: E7300 @ 3336 (X7.5 - FSB 444) Ballistix 5-5-5-15 DDR533 (2.0 V) stable.
First try to find how much you can push up the processor, with out OC the ram, after OC the ram. Maybe you have to pull down the frecuency of the processor a little, So you can push your ram up.

Well im having better luck now getting in to windows at 4ghz, but still unstable. Needs lots of vcore it would seem.

Yeah, my pc can wake from sleep with my 3.83 Overclock!

I tried 7.5x 550 2.00D but cant get this to post. What would you suggest settings wise for this config?
