    By the moment we are going to left, this valuas as they are the only voltage you can push higher is cpu I was trying to se the website of your memory manufacter without sussces, the page don't open, so if you have, the specifications of the memory please show me also see with cpu-z the SPD memory information so I can see.

    Ok ive managed to get this far, this is the best I have! Anyway you can suggest to get 7.5 multi and 4.12ghz on this config? I can post and windows loads, but Linpack fails every time on second residule.

    With 7.5x550 I have tried to get stable but just cant, this is what I tried:
    - Raised vcore to 1.44v
    - Raised vtt to 1.38
    - Lowered vcore
    - Lowered vtt
    - Set CPU Reference manually
    - Raised MCH Reference
    - 50,100 and 150ps
    - 900mv CPU Clock Drive

    Surely I can get 4.12ghz!! Could you take a look at the config below and help out? My memory is fine, so its just tweaking CPU Now:)

    I would say try tRD of 9 for the D strap at 450-500+ FSB, and maybe MCH Ref of .70-.74 w/ Vtt @1.20 when setting MCH Ref

    Maybe enable LLC so you don't need such a high Idle voltage, then you could likely use less Vtt as well

    Thanks mate. With LLC enabled and even 1.4 Vcore, things still arent anymore stable.

    I have my VTT on 1.20 as you suggested and MCH ref on 0.700.

    This cant be my RAM surely, because without the .5 multi everything is stable.

    Something else must be holding me back, but im not sure what!

    No, I suggested to set MCH Ref properly. That means set Vtt to 1.20, then adjustr MCH Ref to the amount you want to try .68-.84 and then go back and move Vtt back up to where you think you may need 1.28-1.36. MCH Ref will automatically adjust after you set Vtt back up to where you want it.

    See the link in my signature for how to set MCH Ref if you are still confused, it will confuse you more likely!! Sorry, I need to re-write it, but it should give you the idea for sure of how to properly set it

    I don't like .5 multi's either, why not just drop using it and stick with whole numbers?

    Ahh ok, sorry!

    I did do some fiddling around earlier with this, but had no success, it doesnt seem to stop the system from being unstable.

    These are my settings at the moment. I will make a table of which MCH % I use and the result. This means of course going through each % on each VTT level right?

    Since I have a 550 FSB, do I need more than 1.36 VTT? Where shall I start? 1.28?

    The reason I want 550x7.5 is so I can get my RAM overclocked to 1100 and CPU to 4ghz. I cant go further than 430FSB on the B strap, but If you have any suggestions to gain over 430FSB with the B strap it would be great:P

    Yeah that review sounds a bit concerning in my case:P I would of thought 550FSB would of been easy with this board :)

    Looks like above 66% is no-go territory for me. What do you think?

    Are you setting Vtt back to 1.20 before adjusting MCH ref each time, then moving Vtt back to what you want to test? That is how you must do it

    Your table is unclear to me above I think, can you take an image of how it looks in your notes maybe that will be more clear than the formatting allows here.

    Also, have you tried Drive Strength settings Auto and or 1066 instead of 1200?

    Your CPU may just need more Vcore, or more Vtt then normal. If temps are acceptable feel free to push on those a little, I only suggested lower Vtt as normally much more then 3.6 is not needed but that is not always the case. 1.45 would for sure be the max I would try, if you cannot get stable with 1.4-1.45 Vtt and 1.4 or so actual Vcore then your CPU must be a super voltage hog and if I were you I would think about using a lower FSB and higher CPU multi to get at the same speeds you are attempting

    Yup, im putting VTT down to 1.20, calculating the percentage as first of all 68% and then raising it notch by notch each time. I have tried each driving strength yes, with my RAM and 1100, OC1200 is far more stable, 1066 Sometimes wont post.

    Since I posted I have also done some further testing which was slightly more acceptable with a lower MCH ref strangely enough. (See my link below)

    Since my system at this stage will not boot with Auto MCH ref, is it worth playing with CPU Ref instead?

    Is there any tweaking I could do to get over 430 FSB on the 2.40B strap to OC my RAM and CPU instead?

    To make sure my RAM Isnt the limitation, I have tested my RAM with CPU at 2.8GHz and Ram at 1100. Everythings stable until I go to 1110, so it seems like the most my RAM will do is 1100.

    I have edited my post above, but here are my test results also. (Sorry for link, I couldnt figure out how to attach a document directly).

    I'm sorry to ask so many questions L, I'm sure you know how frustrating it is when you get a bad chip.. my temps go over 80'c when using Linkpack and mid 70's when using Prime small FFT's when I have a 1.45 vcore in bios and 1.392 load in CPU Z, Plus, thats not even stable! Im not sure if its my CPU holding me back or my board, what do you reckon? Some reviewers of this board couldnt get above 500FSB without it failing? I will try up to 1.45 VTT as you reccomended.

    Is a MCH Core v of 1.3 Fine for this? I know it can cause errors if to low/high?

    Well. Its bee a while and I have had success. Instead of using the D strap, I have found that on the 2.00B strap I can boot with the settings below.

    This was after doing some research on a really usefull review thread here. The reviewer mentioned similar problems to mine when getting things stable on the D strap and needing LOTS of MCH voltage.
