    Default PC Won't Post Unless I Use 1:2

    Hi, I'v been doing some overclocking my E5200 and I haven't been able to get my PC to post if I use anything but the 1:2 RAM driver?

    It doesn't matter until I go above 300FSB then cause then the RAM is getting above 1200MHz .

    Does anyone know how to fix this, its never done it before?

    Load optimum defaults and start again?.

    Sorry I should have mentioned that it does it regress of the FSB. Now I'm wanting to use 300FSB, but I can't lower the RAM speed. Last night I tried on 230FSB and the same thing happened.

    I'v done a heap of testing on this problem

    Turns out that the 3.20B multi with the 333MHz strap wouldn't post, nor would 2.66D with the 400MHz strap.

    With the RAM running at 667MHz 4-4-4-12, my RAM is Corsair Dominator PC2-9136 with D9GMH.

    I tested:

    FSB: Was 250FSB lowered to 225FSB =
    RAM Voltage: Was 2.0v raised to 2.1v =
    Static Read Value: Was 6 raised to 8 =
    RAM Performance: Was Turbo lowered to Standard =
    MCH Voltage: Was 1.1v raised to 1.2v and 1.3v =
    MCH Reference: Lowered and raised =
    CPU Reference: Lowered and raised =
    Change RAM into Red Slots =

    Any more ideas?

    Those straps will depend on all other settings, such as tRD, MCH Core, and of course all the minor details.

    They do work, you just have to use the correct combination of things. Did you test MCH Less then stock, and between 1.2-1.3 not just 1.2+1.3? Just checking

    Post for me the exact settings you would like to run that wont work, then I will advise. That would be easiest then use summing up things as we are

    Well you will have a rough time for sure getting tRD of 6 to work with the D strap. For a 250FSB I would try using the C or A straps, you should have much better luck that way for sure.

    Try those, and get back at me with some settings you tried that fail and I will see if I can advise what to try next

    As for the above, not sure about your CPU in particular but you may need some more voltage as well, try this and see if you can get anywhere. Not sure what your ram is, how much you are using, or what you are trying to run it at though????? So kinda at a loss on how to advise? >>

    Those settings I posted are the one that fails. When I said:

    I tested:

    I tested those settings on the settings I posted above.

    PS means it didn't work

    I just thought I'd clear it all up.

    The only two drivers that don't work are the 3.20B multi with the 333MHz strap and the 2.66D with the 400MHz strap. I know I first said that only 1:2 worked, but I don't know the other straps work now, but NOTHING I try makes the those two work.

    Ahh well it depends alot on what FSB you are using, so 225-250 or around there (200--332) you would have better luck with A or C as I suggested.

    Certain ones on B or D do not work for you is only because of your FSB, more FSB would be needed to use those
