    Default 2 Easy Questions :-) Gigabyte UD5X58

    What is the difference between these performance modes?:
    Standard, Turbo and Extreeme? BIOS don't tell me, it just say "Use standard to make stability while OC"

    Another question is: How do I make my RAM run at the rated rating?
    A guy in here told me to use the rated latencies, use 1.34 QPI voltage, 1.64 V for RAM, and a memory multiplier at 14X0. He also told me to use "Turbo" in performance mode.

    When i enable these setting my computer won't boot up, and its just standing there and booting several times .. It boot up again every time I see the Gigabyte screen (1sec).

    My RAM modules are not XMP and my CPUZ tells me that I dont have a ES CPU. :/ Got OCZ 1866 9-9-9-28 RAM modules.

    The Performance Enhance changes some hidden memory timings/settings

    You can use turbo or extreme if you like, once you get stock stable with standard settings.

    You will need to overclock several things to run those memories at 1866Mhz. What CPU do you have anyway

    Not sure what you mean by 14x0 memory multi? You have to give us more info, like your full specs and what you are running your CPU at then we can better advise you

    My specc are:
    Gigabyte UD5 X 58 Motherboard
    i7 920 Running 3.2 + turbo mode. Got Coolermaster Hyper 520 (Think it can handle it)?
    OCZ 1866 memory as listed above..

    I want a stable system with these speccs. Can I leave everything at auto setting, or how do I know what to put settings at?

    I would not advise a overclock with voltages in Auto. Please give me your full settings you are using now, and a link to your ram and I will advise back >>>

    My RAM modules are these:

    Komplett.dk - OCZ Platinum XTC DDR3 1866MHz 6GB KIT

    They are not the best :/ Timings sucks indeed.

    Im using BIOS F6c I think. That BIOS has solved the tripple boot and doubble boot totally :D

    Where have you learned to set your voltage setting correctly?

    I have tried alot to set setting alot myself, but when I have been running Windows for 20-30 mins, my screen goes blue screen. So I seriously need help.

    I got advised on some thread to use these setting:
    memory multiplier: 12:2
    QPI voltage. 1.34
    RAM voltage: 1.64
    QPI link speed: 36 or something.

    These setting dont work :/

    I learn voltages by doing things myself. All CPU's of course are different so you can only go by what someone advise for so long, after that you have to find things out for yourself

    I assume since you said 3.2Ghz you are using 152 or so Blck right?

    Try these and see how it works for you, if you have issues report back what issues and then post the settings you used and I will see about advising back again >>>

    These settings have your ram at 1550 for now, if you want it higher you will need more QPI/Vtt voltage and to change the ram multi to 12
