    Thumbs up Overclocking with GA-EX58-UD3R

    Hello ppl!

    I just bought my new computer two weeks ago, and i would like to get it little more boosted by overclocking, and I was wondering if I can get some help here.

    Here is my system:

    Mobo:GA-EX58-UD3R
    Processor: i7 920 Quad core (with Noctua's NH-U12P cooler)
    Mem: 6gb Kingston 1333mhz DDR3
    Graphics card: Asus Radeon HD 4870 1GB version
    Power: 650w Corsair

    So, I'm asking if you guys can provide me with some very detailed instructions (what to change, and how much, in bios etc) how to OC this system without too much risks to destroy my brand new system Any help would be greatly appreciated. Aim aiming to get cpu somewhere around 3,300 mhz.

    And 1 more question, why does my 1333 memory show in bios as 1066?

    Your memory shows in the BIOS as 1066 because that is the speed it will run until you change things manually.

    I have yet to find any good guides for X58 overclocking, but read thru these I have linked here and you should find some good info. >>

    I will begin oc'ing in few days, when i just have enought time for it. I will also check out that link you gave me, thanks!

    I have read alot about oc'ing, but still feel little lost with some options, and this mobo I have sure does have alot of em'!

    I will write here when I run into problems

    1 more strange thing before I start OC'ing... I just loaded default settings, and took off turbo mode, but still I see my cpu running 2,79 mhz and voltage is little too high I think? See picture

    OK, i set the voltage manually lower from BIOS, now running good with 1,15.

    And yes, I tried to OC... I changed BCLK from 20x133 to 20x134 and it resulted to bluescreen Why does so little change do that?

    And how to proceed? Please advice
