OK, I've done much experimenting. I tried several older OC profiles from 3.4, 3.6, 3,7. No problems. I re-booted each one several times and tried a power off/on sequence on them.

I even created a 3.74 (416X9) profile with all other settings identical to the 3.70 profile. Several reboots and off/on scenarios with no problem.

I then tried 3.75 with several combinations of FSB, MCH and CPU volts adjustments. All eventually failed on subsequent re-boots. Some would do 3 before failing, some failed after one re-boot.

I did try your 3.85 settings. Couldn't get 3.75 to post. 3.85 posted and survived 1 re-boot. Next re-boot failed.

It looks like I can get almost anything to post and boot once.

Looks like time for some CoD4.

Well, its good the battery is replaced. You'll never have to question it. VBAT increased from 3.12 to 3.31. And that's good.

Getting anything "to post and boot once", is different than before replacing the cmos battery? (Describe before new battery.)

Play COD and when you get a chance start recording different profile results.

Post templates of the most stable ones. And the first profile(s) to fail. Preferably, templates of profiles that have all the same settings as that most stable one, but just a little higher CPU clock and failed.

I haven't completed a Master Blank BIOS template, but here is my, "Blank BIOS Template For Gigabyte P35-S3G_Edit_002"

Before new battery was about the same. Remember I could get 3.75 to post and boot but it would fail subsequent re-boots. IOW the battery didn't change anything.

    k
So far its the same. ;)

(At least your PC's gizzard is stable.)(sry had2 say.) hahahaha

I'm still working on templates and waiting for reply to an Advanced Timing Post here. (I can't wait to brake 26,000 in 3DMark'05.)

And I've almost completed a new template for MemSet vs P35-S3G (F2 BIOS). It involves using roman numerals to designate correlations.

    A. MemSet's first 13 of 15 Timings are all we care about.

    B. Our BIOS has four Standard Timings Controls and seven Advanced Timings controls. Total of both = 11.

    C.
    Code:
    01. MemSet: CAS# Latency (tCL) _________ = BIOS: 1. CAS Latency Time.
    02. MemSet: RAS# to CAS# Read Delay ____ = BIOS: 2. DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay.
    03. MemSet: RAS# to CAS# Write Delay ___ = BIOS: 2. DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay.
    04. MemSet: RAS# Precharge (tRP) _______ = BIOS: 3. DRAM RAS# Precharge.
    05. MemSet: Precharge Delay (tRAS) _____ = BIOS: 4. Precharge delay (tRAS).

    08. MemSet: Performance Level __________ = BIOS: 10. Static tRead Value.
    09. MemSet: Write to Precharge Delayed _ = BIOS: 7. Write to Precharge Delay.
    10. MemSet: Write to Read Delayed (tWTR) = BIOS: 6. Rank Write to READ Delay.
    11. MemSet: Act. To Act. Delayed (tRRD) = BIOS: 5. ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD).
    12. MemSet: Read to Write Delay (tRD_WR) = BIOS:

    1. Past it from Notepad.

    2. Select the text.

    3. Click on the "#" button. (The one that when you float your mouse over it says, "Wrap [CODE] tags around selected text".)

    4. Then hit preview to see how it looks.

For 3.75, and above, I've tried various settings of voltages and several will post once or twice but eventually fail to post. To me this sounds like some sort of MB problem, since you've had success with a similar mix of hardware.

First put a link next to your RAM that takes you to the Specifications. If ProJim (He has the same manufacturer RAM) or Lsdmeasap look at your post too, they need to be able to quickly see the Specs of your RAM. (Me too.:)

I bet the following is needed: (But wait until its confirmed 100% AOK to use it all the time.)

Here' my "3.85GHz" Profile after : (Make sure everything is the same.)

OK, I changed my sig to include a link to the RAM specs.

I will try your 3.85 settings, but they look like they are exactly the same as something I already tried.
One thing that worrys me is the +.3 on the DDR2 overvoltage. That puts the voltage at 2.16V. My ram is supposed to be between 2.0 and 2.1.
