Yes, it will only happen in Idle with C1E and EIST enabled, then when idle the processor will shut down cores and enter a lower power state because it is idle

It jumps from 19 to 21 at load because you have turbo enabled.

You can use a hard x22 multi but you would have to disable all but one core in the BIOS

I really have to get in on this thread. Wow these are some great clocks. I must be doing something really wrong since I can only get stable at 3.6GHz or 3.7 with turbo on. Though most of you are using water to get the really high clocks.

I use the Scythe Mugen 2 as CPU cooler in an Antec 1200 case and I am able to hit 4.2 with turbo enabled, but I think most people will be able to hit 3.8-4.0 GHz without trouble at all. It all depends on your processor and motherboard I think. Post your settings and maybe someone can help you get a higher overclock.

Of course, hitting a great clock and hitting a great stable clock are two very different things :p It can be fun to see what frequency you can POST at but getting it stable is the real challenge :)

max bclk=221 but not stable, Pi32M Benchable.
Anything above that and I get no boot. The board display "6F" code.

Good morning all, as I am not advanced overclocker but more intermediate this board has been a little challenge. It is a lot of fun and I am not giving up on this sucker. However I have been running into some issues that I can't seem to get past. Right now 3.6 seems to be the max overclock that I can get without a 68 or 6F failure.

I have been trying to get my memory to do 1800 and it will boot to windows with the settings I have below. With Intelburntest2.1 it will do the standard 1024,2048 tests 5-10 times without error. When I push 3600 it fails. Prime will run for about six hours and also fail. If someone could look and see what I might have wrong I would appreciate it.

Here is what my current bootable windows load out looks like:
