Default GA-EG45M-DS2H how to get COAX SPDIF_O

    Hi all,

is there a way to get digital audio out on Coax using the SPDIF_O header (2 pins)?

I understand that the SPDIF_O header is for connecting audio to an add on video card that outputs HDMI w/ audio.

I looked at S/N:12CR1-1SPDOUT-12, or S/N:12CR1-1SPDOUT-12, or S/N:12CR1-1SPDOUT-03R, and they connect via a 3 pin connector to mobo. (1 power, 2 SPDIF, 3 GND) but the mobo SPDIF_O header has only 2 pins (1 SPDIFO, 2 GND).

Please note that F_AUDIO header is already used for the front panel analog audio.

If SPDIF_O header does not work how can I get what I need w/o disabling the front pannel audio connctors?

I already know that I can get the builtin SPDIF_O Optical output (next to HDMI connector) and converted the signal to Coax using an external convertor. I'd like not to have to use the convetor.

I am not sure about this, would you like me to copy or move this topic into the Audio Visual section of the site?

Maybe some of our more knowledgeable members would see it there and be able to offer you a good answer
