Default EX58UD5, Black screen, debug LED A6.

    GA-EX58-UD5:

When booting I my screen stays black, I can't enter BIOS.
All fans are running, including that of the Ati FireGL V7600.
I tried all RAMs one at a time, booting up, with all peripherals disconnected.
The debug-LED says "A6". I don't get any system bleeps.
I saw some posts on the internet regarding the same problem, but I didn't see a solution yet.

Do you have the memory in the correct slots? Those would be the white ones for triple channel.

What ram are you using? Did you check before you installed your CPU for bent pins in the CPU Socket, if not check now to be sure you do not have any

Have to ask, do you have the ATX 24pin and ATX 12V 8Pin plugged in? Sorry, but you would be surprised what I see so I have to ask!

Do you have another GFX Card to test with, just in case that one is a issue?

The system was built for me, it has worked fine over the last months. Today one of the builders is coming over and he will trie another Graphics-card. They had me taking my current card out and push it back in.
If that other card doesn't help, they are thinking of board replacement.

They didn't think it was memory, because you'll get to hear system bleeps. The RAMs are in white sockets though.

If I don't post the cause or solution, please remind me.

    Right,

After some testing, the motherboard was sent back from builder to factory. My builder heard the "deep(?)" Bios had crashed. Now I'm working with a new board which was sent in return.

I have a raid-0 config, with a C and D partition. My builder reinstalled C, I lost my application data and they kept my D. The hard drives could only work with the Raid-hardware that was on the board. Before this had happened I thought I could easily plug in raid harddrives on other motherboards (at least of the same type).

    Thank you for thinking,
    Lsdmeasap.

    Thanks for the reply back!

Ya these boards have two physical BIOS Chips, you may have not needed a new board if one crashed but to late to help you with that now.

And your thoughts are correct about RAID. You can move your RAID Array to any board with ICH10R or ICH9R and your array would have been perfectly fine. What they likely did was mess up the disk/port order of how the drives were connected to the board, that will make any array break.

So yes, for future reference you can move your array to a new board as long as it has ICH9R or ICH10R and you put the drives back in the same ports and order
