    Default EP35 - DS3P new to oc'ing

Hello i have a e6300 1.8GHz {stock} and i recently changed the settings in the bios to make it 2.1GHz [not a very big overclock but im happy]. With the settings to 370 x 6. .i just got that done but i havent changed all my other settings like the ram speed and the voltage. i want to achieve at least 2.5 on stock fan only. or a oc that can be capable to use it on stock fan. I have done some research if any one can help thx. Greatly appreciated.

    My system specs.

An almost 40% o/c with the stock heat sink, unlikely. You'll probably be able to go with a 15% - 20% overclock with your current setup.

Fill in the Bios Template with your current settings, post the settings and include a link to your memory's specs.

Can you please link your ram, or give us the model #, thanks

Not sure how far that Stock cooler will get you, but they are thicker then the new 45Nm ones so maybe a little further then you hear mentioned these days

Try this for 2.45 and see how the temps are at full load

    MB intelligent tweaker (M.I.T)
Robust graphics booster [auto or fast]
    CPU clock ratio [7 X]
    CPU clock Frequency 2.45GHz (350x7)
    CPU host clock control [enabled]
    CPU host frequency (MHz) [350]
    PCI express frequency (MHz) 100
    C.I.A.2 [disabled]
    Performance enhance [standard]
    System memory multiplier (spd) [2.50A]
    Memory frequency (MHz) 875

    OR

    CPU host frequency (MHz) [415]
    PCI express frequency (MHz) 100
    C.I.A.2 [disabled]

ACT to ACT delay (tRRD) 3-5
Rank Write to Read delay 3-8
    Write to precharge delay 4-10
    Refresh to ACT delay 54-68

    Read to precharge delay 3-5
Static tREAD value 8 [auto] Check with Memset, to see if this is the actual value you are getting, or manually set 6-8

Static tREAD phase adjust 0 [auto]
    ***s********system voltage NOT optimized!!************

** MORE INFO NEEDED before I can advise best on voltages for most of this **
    System voltage control [Manual]
    DDR2 Overvoltage control [+0.05-0.1V] << equals 1.85-1.9
PCI-E overvoltage control [normal] << +0.1 for stability
FSB overvoltage control [normal] << +0.1 for stability
    (G) MCH overvoltage control [+0.2-0.3V]
Loadline Calibration [auto] << you can enable this, then you will have much less of a voltage drop at load

CPU voltage control [1.27500V] << Set 1.325-1.45 (All up to your CPU on what you will need)

Sorry, didn't make it in until late tonight

    Again? Why again?

I just edited my suggestions above for you just now, thanks for the link to your ram. The above info is now corrected for your ram.

If you continually have issues set the ram to 666-18 for now until I can advise again. That way if you have issues you know it is most likely not the ram at all, but voltages or something else

ok so i tried it and then my computer shut down 3 secs after the startup and it reverted the bios settings to normal bios. *such a noob* .

    Another q's
do i need to put any other cooling on my MCH cause now it only has a heatsink on it. Also is there a program or something that can check my MCH temp. i am using hardware moniter and speedfan and i dont see any thing that is the MCH temp.

No there is no MCH Sensor for P35. Easytune and everest will show you a "System Temp" which is located in the PCB Very close to the NB though.

Please give me your Exact settings you set that failed and I will advise back
