Unhappy problem with gigabyte EP45-UD3L (urgent)

HI all i have a very strange problem ,i have a problem with cold boot using gigabyte boards both my old one GA p35 ds3l and my new EP45-UD3L ...which is when i leave the pc closed for 4 or 5 hrs and then open it , the pc restarts itself again ?? it doesnt happed with frequent restarting PC only after cold boots , i thaught the problem was my old gigabyte board , so i got the new one and same happend so i dont think its a battery probelm !! i am disabiling the C1E and EIST functions for power saving ..i thaught also it was coz i was trying to overclock my Q6600 to 3ghz although it was stable using overclocking tests !! but when i was back to factory settings 2.4ghz the same happend , is it a RAM problem ? as i dought the same probelm occurs with 2 boards , and that occured to me either clocking to 3 ghz or returning to stock speed 2.4ghz , my specs r

Fill out this generic bios template and post your current settings. Be sure to include a link to the specs for your memory. Also include info, such as:

    bios version
    motherboard version
    operating system version
    etc. (you get the idea)

Some of your bios settings are incomplete and/or not filled in.
If some of the settings are not available, fill in with N/A.

MCH Core = ???? and 8 GB of ram. THIS COULD BE A MAJOR PART OF THE PROBLEM!!

Bios version = "latest" doesn't cut it. specify the version in your signature.

Static tRead Value isn't filled in. If it's on auto, say so. Same for cpu host frequency and cpu multiplier.

Provide an external link to you ram specs, we need to confirm the specs.

Please, make it easy for us to help you.

Your memory is rated at 6-7-7-20 @ 1066 MHz and 2.05 volts max.
Right now you're trying to run with 800 MHz memory at 5-5-5-15. For the time being, leave your memory at this speed but loosen the primary timings to 6-6-6-18.

Overclocking with 8 GM ram should be put off for now. Let's get your system stable with 4 GB.

Have you had your system fully stable at stock settings (no overclock)?
It looks like you're try for a 25% in one step. When you have problems, you need to state what the exact problem is. Reboot loop? Bios reset? System crashes or freezes?

Is cpu Vcore = 1.325000 volts the stock setting for your cpu. If yes, increase this by 1 step (probably +0.00625 volts). If this doesn't work up the voltage 1 more click.

    CPU Termination…..... 1.200V*.......: [auto] <-- manually set to 1.22
CPU PLL…………………....1.500V*.......: [auto] <-- manually set to 1.57
MCH core might have to be increased in steps. 1.20 - 1.24 should work.
Leave all REFERENCE settings on AUTO

DRAM Voltage ……....1.500V............: 2.08v (2.2 volts is in red !!!
This is Gigabyte's way of making sure you really know what you're doing. Don't go any higher with your dram voltage.

If you want to quickly get to 3.0 GHz, use the forum SEARCH feature for:
    Q6600+overclock
and see what bios settings others have used. You won't be able to use their memory timings because most 1066 memory is spec'd at 5-5-5-15.

A better route is to ensure that your system is stable at stock settings (with 4 GB ram), and then stability test the new settings by gradually increasing cpu host frequency by 20 - 25 MHz. You will want to keep your memory speed within a narrow range (800 - 1000 MHz) by varying the SYSTEM MEMORY MULTIPLIER.

Don't change many settings at once, otherwise it's impossible to tell which ones helped or hurt. Have you read the Bios Overclocking guide?

Once you've reached your goal, we can tweak the memory timings for better performance.

If you're in a hurry to achieve a stable overclock, it won't work. It takes patience. Let's get your system stable.

THANX soo much for your help , my exact problem is when overclocking on cold boot the screen comes out showing 3 ghz clock then restarts itself to factory settings 2.4ghz and everything works normaly , i will try what u said and i hope it works ..my cpu v core is 1.23 stock and i have increased it to 1.32 as some said it might be the need of voltage increase ...should i decrease it to stock settings ?? anyway thanx again for valuable info :)
