    Default GA-EP45T-UD3P won't boot...

    Greetings all,

    I want to start by saying I so regret buying this board. I wish I had gotten the GA-EP45-UD3P instead. As it is I am stuck with three of these boards. Given that, I am unable to get this board to run with a Memory Bus Speed of 1333MHz. I have three of these boards and have different ram in each board. Here is the ram I am using:

    4x2GB Crucial [CT2KIT25664BA1339] 1.5V DDR3-1333 PC3-10600 @9-9-9-24
    4x2GB Kingston ValueRAM [KVR1333D3N9/2G] 1.5V DDR3-1333 PC3-10600 @9-9-9-24
    4x2GB G.SKILL [F3-10666CL9D-4GBNQ] 1.5V DDR3-1333 PC3-10666 @9-9-9-24

    The Kingston memory is on the certified list for this board and is the system I am using for all my test now as this is the only certified memory of the three machines, though all three machines behave the same. All of this memory is fine if I only use 2 DIMMs. I can mix and match the 2 DIMMs and everything works great with a Memory Bus Speed of 1333MHz. However, the minute I go to four DIMMs the system will not boot.

    I have gone back and fourth with technical support because this board does not work as advertised. I can not run 4x2GB at 1333MHz Memory Bus speed. In the end all that tech support could say was that I needed to "loosen" the memory timings. Well, I have no idea what that means so I am turning to this knowledgable community for help! :)

    Below are the settings I am currently trying. Can anyone suggest what memory settings I need to change in order to "loosen" the memory timings?

    P.S. Remember that this is DDR3 memory and not DDR2.

    P.P.S. I do have a stable build with 4x2GB DIMMs that I am going to post on a separate thread to get ideas on what memory settings I can tighten up. But that build is running the Memory Bus at 1220MHz.

    I would make these changes if you must run 8Gb and must have them at 1333 >>>

    Standard Timing Control

    ^^^ 10-9-9-24 should be ok with the rest of these changes, but you can also try 10-10-10-24 or 10-10-9-24 if you have issues ^^^
    Set all Suggested below to highest Values first.
    Then later you can lower, one at a time, testing as you go

    Thanks for the suggestions Lsdmeasap, I will give them a try.

    You actually raise an issue that I have been wrestling with myself and that is do I really need to run the memory bus at 1333MHz?

    I have a configuration, with 8GB RAM, with the FSB at 366 and the memory bus at 1220MHz that is running rock solid. My MCH Core is only at 1.1v and the VCore is only at 1.11250v. When I run Sisoft Sandra it says the my memory throughput is higher with the 366 by 1220 settings then with the 333 x 1333 settings.

    So I may try your suggestions to see if it gets me to a stable system with the 1333MHz memory bus but if I can't then move the FSB to 366 I may go back to the 366 by 1220 settings.

    Thank you again for your suggestions. I will let you know how it goes.
