Default Memory timing question - GA-EP45-UD3P

    Hello,

I have G. Skills (2X2GB - PC8500) on GA-EP45-UD3P board. I am trying to change the tRC value. However I do not see any option. Is it possible to change tRC value in this particular board?

    My CPU is E8400.

    Thanks

tRC = Row Cycle Time, but you already know this. You might have to use Memset or a similar program to change tRC in windows.

    tRD
(aka Static tRead Value or Performance Level) and tRFC are often used when tweaking memory, as they have a significant effect on performance.

If you want any tweaking help, post your current bios settings using the generic bios template and include an external link to your ram's specs. Be sure to include:
    current bios version
    mobo revision #
a list of your major system components, similar to what's in my signature.

tRC cannot be changed in Gigabyte P45 boards, with the BIOS or Memset.

The only way to change yours is to use SPDTool on a P35 board (As it is not P45 compatible) and flash the SPD with the setting you would like to use

NICE find!! Is SPDtool listed in the Tools sticky with a note covering P45/G45 support?

Thanks for the update notice!! Everyone keep in mind your warranty will be voided if you flash your SPD, and if you do it incorrect you will be tossing your ram
