    Default Need F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK to run ddr2-6400

    I just installed this 2X2GB Gskill ram with no glitches at boot. It runs straight out of the box at it's rated spec of CL5-5-5-15-1066 2.0-2.1V. I ran memtest for three hours with no errors. However they get very warm.
    I would Like to boot them at CL5-5-5-15-800 1.8-1.9 V if at all possible.
    I don,t want to guess wrong and fry my GA-EP45-UD3R !
    What Bios changes are required to run CL5-5-5-15 at 800 MHz and 1.8 Volts ?

    They would be fine, they are designed to run at 2.0-2.1. Ram is warm/hot by design, When it burns you that is too hot 2.2V+

    Are you running stock 333 FSB? If so then here would be how you run those at 800. You may need to use 1.9-2.0V as they may not run at 800Mhz without doing so, at least not at good timings >>>

    Thankyou for the time spent figuring this out.
    I ran 2 hrs. of memtest with o errors under new configuration of ddr2-6400 . So far so good. Some of your suggestions had to be changed due to number for input not allowed or gave different value for input.
