    Moderate o/c with lowest temps?
    Higher o/c with more heat & volts, but not too extreme?
    Maximum o/c with highest tolerable heat & volts?

    Base to work from?? You are already at 400 FSB, so did you mean this or 333 FSB? I did provide settings there that will work for you for sure for 400 FSB.

    The ram you have will for sure do what the EPP shows and more.

    Are you at your final CPU Speed you want to run? If you are please tell me your full settings you are using now, and if you like I will advise optimal ranges for you to work with

    Lsdme, no problem.

    Hidden in the first post, his problems appear to have started when he used your Advanced Timing Control bios settings. There were also issues with tRD (Performance Level) settings. I was trying to get his setup stable.

    I'm turning this over to you, sir, as you have a bit (OK, a lot) more first hand experience with his memory.

    The computer is one used by the whole family and I chose the motherboard partially on its ability to store a number of different BIOS profiles. What I'm aiming to do is to keep one profile at stock settings (333FSB/DDR800) for use as a HTPC (I have a Hybrid DVB tuner card awaiting my attention) and for internet/email.
    A second profile with a moderate OC (400FSB/DDR800 or 1000) for video editing and graphics work + some gaming by the kids.
    A third (or more) profile/s with OC in the 440-450FSB range for gaming that would benefit from the increased clockspeed and RAM performance(Holds hand up as 47 year-old closet Grand Theft Auto addict)....and just for the hell of it really.
    Cooling is air only- high cfm Noctua fans throughout- and likely to remain so unless the case starts to look like the inside of a vacuum cleaner bag.
    Is all this feasible?
    I noted that Lsdmeasap's Crucial Ballistix review covered these FSB ranges (and more) so the RAM is obviously very capable.

    Well that all sounds good to me, provided your cooling is sufficient in your eyes.

    So, which profile/profiles do you need help with right now? All of them?

    Did you use/try the settings in my review at all yet? Yes, these ram are Very capable for sure

    Are you still using F5 BIOS? If so, is there a reason why? I just ask because I have the same board and am using it now t reply to you. F8 is a great BIOS, S3 sleep even works as well >>>

    Thank you Lsdmeasap for posting back so quickly.

    I was hoping to keep my CPU temps under 55-60C at full load - If the cooler I am using has trouble dissipating the heat I will look at watercooling as I'd probably run into the same thermal problem if I changed to any other heatpipe cooler.

    Sorry-I'm writing this as I read your post, so this post might seem a little disjointed.

    I haven't got very far with settings as yet- just incrementally raising the FSB with loose RAM timings then testing (Memtest 86+, OCCT, Prime95) at each increment- the idea being that I wouldn't be applying too much voltage or changing too many settings from one FSB step to the next. I just paused in CPU OC'ing because I had reached 400FSB so seemed like a good a time as any to set up a good BIOS profile.

    I'll follow your advice and flash the BIOS to F8 (using the QFlash method -I'll read the sticky first). I haven't flashed the BIOS because I had not run into any problems with the BIOS the board shipped with. Would I lose my profiles during the flash? No problem if that is the case- I've kept an Excel spreadsheet with all the values/selections that I've applied in the BIOS since I started personalizing the settings.

    Thanks for the suggestions on BIOS settings-I'm sure they will come in very handy over the next few weeks.
