You have a different CPU of so I'm sure your CPU setup will differ. I would also start by setting the bios to optimized defaults. Took me some time to get this motherboard stable at all and it was mostly memory setup.

The following settings are from profJim:
I also have my Performance Enhance set to Turbo. Works fine for me but standard is where you should start.

Patriot is rma'ing my ram so now i get to wait. The only question I have is that ram won't test in dual channel.Memtest starts then then reboots and does it all over again.I guess that would make it faulty?

Have you thought that one of your slots may be faulty? It would of been worth testing each stick one by one and then when you find the good stick, to test it in both slots..

We can't help you until you've posted the info that Lsdme requested in post #3.
The problem is usually with incorrect bios settings. Sometimes it's faulty ram. Rarely the mobo is at fault.

I tested in all slots.THe crucial tests all good in dual channel and 1 stick at a time also I have the 800 clocked at 1000 and very stable.Once I get the new ram I will post the bios if I have problems. THe patriot stopped booting with both sticks all together.I got about a ten day wait.

Ok got the new ram.Still won't do 1066.But at 800 4 4 4 12 dual channel is perfect. It does run sweet.i have read threads about bumping the mch to 1.34,which I think is kind of high.It just doesn't like the patriot.I can deal with 800. Plus the difference to 1066 is small.
I think that I should just hold out for g-skill or crucial.

Post your bios settings where the new memory won't run at 1066 speeds.
We can't help you until you fill in the bios template with your settings.
Please add your hardware list to your forum signature, it will cut down on possible errors.

Default Re: GA EP45-ud3r with patriot viper ep 1066

Just a little tidbit of info as well. My Patriot 1600 mhz ultra low latency wont run at XMP 1600 either. (and mine is ddr3). boots, but is unstable. Even if i relax the timings. Every set of patriot ram I have bought has been faulty.

Only good ram ive ever used is mushkin.

    my 0.02.
