    Default Issues with Sandra benchmark

I have a gig ep45-ud3p, e8500 (eo), and 8 gigs of gskill 8500 ram (5-5-5-15 @ 2.1v). I've overclocked the e8500 to 4.25 stable 12hrs prime, IBT 20 runs, etc. But for some reason it hangs on Sandra multi core test (it'll ramp up to 100% cpu utilization and then go to idle and just stay there until I manually restart). So I brought it back down to stock and it failed again. I took out 4 gigs of ram (leaving in only two sticks in the 1 & 3 slot) and it failed again. Now I know that my stock settings are solid, why can't sandra do the test? I've been running at stock for months now (just in the past two weeks I started overclocking) and I never had a program hang or anything unexpectedly quit, no blue screen, nothing. What is the deal here?

    I'm running Sandra Lite 2009 sp.2 and Vista X64
