    @Gamex

    Please copy your hardware list to your forum signature. That way we can easily see what you have without scrolling through the thread.
    We also need a link to your rams specifications.

    For starters, make the following changes:

    CPU Host Frequency ------ (Mhz) ----- [400] <--- set to 425 for 3.61GHz, 3.80GHz will follow once your system is stable
    Performance Enhance ………….........……[Turbo] <--- set to Standard while we're overclocking
    Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P)….........[Auto] <--- set to Disabled
    (G)MCH Frequency Latch................... [Auto]
    System Memory Multiplier ..................[2.00D] <--- set to 2.00B
    Memory Frequency....(Mhz)…. 1066.....850
    DRAM Timing Selectable (SPD) ............[Manual]

    tRFC.....................................68……… [52] <--- set to 72 for now

    CPU Vcore ---- (1.28750V) ----------- [1.26875V] <--- Is this correct??
    set Cpu Vcore 2 clicks higher than the value displayed to the left in your bios (more might be needed).

    CPU Reference .……....0.760V............. [0.760V] <--- set this to AUTO
    MCH/ICH
    MCH Core ---------- -1.100V……….….….[1.26V] <--- 1.28 - 1.32 might be needed with 2x4GB of ram, find the lowest stable setting
    MCH Reference -- ----0.760V…………... [Auto]
    MCH/DRAM Ref--------0.900V.............[Auto]
    ICH I/O ------------- 1.500V …….……… [1.570V]
    ICH Core-------------1.100V .............[1.100V]
    DRAM
    DRAM Voltage ……....1.800V.................[1.82] <--- 2.00 - 2.10 will be needed, start high and lower it later if possible after stable stress testing.

    Advanced Settings -------- The following settings will improve system stability for overclocked systems.
    Limit CPUID Max. to 3 -------------------- : [Disabled]
    No-Execute Memory Protect -------------- : [Enabled]

    Rank amateur…. Bear with me! I've now managed to append my system in my signature

    Dear PROFJIM You asked:-
    CPU Vcore ---- (1.28750V) ----------- [1.26875V] <--- Is this correct?? Yes it is, my bios reported (1.28750V) both on the original F6 & now on F9 and the reason I put in [1.26875V] was as you indicated on your earlier post in reply to another member & of course those were the settings that I followed originally with the exception of CPU Host Freq (which in my case was 400) and when finished completing those settings, my system booted up fine (I might add for the very first time) I then carried out stress & memory test for a couple of hours all of which were 100% OK. So I then thought I would try to up the OC …. But the system fell over as soon as I went to 425!! Which brings me to my latest request: - I would love to reach 3.8GHz but have no idea on how to reach it.

    I will however, follow your latest guide to reach 3.8GHz and in due course let you know how I get on, many thanks for your help so far.

    Regards, Gamex.
    PS. I have not worked out yet on how to use you template ?

    @Gamex

    Use your cursor to select all the text in the bios template code section.
    [CTRL] + C will copy all the data, then you can paste all the copied code into a text editing application like Notepad.

    Next you will fill in all the bios settings with the values in your bios.
    It's important to make it clear which settings are set to AUTO, even though they might have a value displayed, such as:

    Static tRead Value ............. 10 ........: [Auto]

    When you want to post your bios settings, you can use the Copy/Paste functions to transfer the info from your txt file to the forum post screen. You will want to save individual bios setting files on your system

    Keep in mind that copying and using settings form another post can cause problems if you don't know exactly what you're doing and why. We will suggest bios settings that are tailored to your system setup.
