Default Dual bios mobo flashing safety

There's been a lot of talk about the dangers of bios flashing. I've flashed almost every mobo I had, no bad flash so far. Is flashing a dual bios mobo really safer?

I guesss the theory is that you have the backup,if needed, saves a possible "frisbee status" of the motherboard.
    IF something goes wrong.
Nothing ever goes wrong does it?

I haven't set it up as yet though.
