    yeah just keep in mind the Load Line Calibration enabled is going to hold high
    but you were using it before too.

    I am gradually reducing the vCore. I am seeing better temps. I am sitting at 1.375 vCore in the BIOS and 1.34 in Windows. Here are my settings.

    I am testing with Prime95 now.

    I wondered if you might get away with a lower v core
    Is it stable on linpak with lower v core or another app other than prime, it usually has to run for awhile.

    OK, I did Linpack at 1.375v vCore and it passed. Prime was good for the brief time I tested it.

    HyperPi has always seemed flaky on me, made it through 8M and then it"stopped working".

    I ahve read a lot of people that have issues with Hyper/SuperPi in vista 64.

    I have lowered my vCore to 1.3625v and am sitiing at 1.33v in Windows. ...

    continuing testing..... let me know if you have any other suggestions.

    I didn/t try OCCT yet, I was trying the Everest stress test, seems to be good on that one. I was looking at mid 40's on that test.

    I will give OCCT a try. Do you know the latest version?

    i have 3.0.1 see if his site has changed it.
    i run its linpak at 2 hours with custom max. 90% free memory

    make sure you set temp. the in the options for 70-75c

    even if you run it for 1 hour on its linpak with custom 90% mem used and it completes with no errors you know you ain't doin' bad.

    Alright,

    I have lowered the vCore to 1.33750v that gives me 1.31v in windows. after 10 runs of linpack, mu max temp is 67deg C.

    Now if I go any lower in the BIOS, I think that my vCore will drop below the 1.3 that I have set for VTT? Do I need to worry about that? How do these relate to each other?

    Do I need to be concerned about this?

    Next steps?

    Personally I think its pretty close
    you could try it lower but for that oc you are prolly pretty close.
    I run here 1.36250 and term. of 1.360 load line NOT enabled.

    I think you are right about me being close. I had my first BSOD during Prime. I upped the CPU Termination to 1.32 as suggested on xtremesystems. I am re-running prime now. I will let it run overnight and see what happens.

    Been running for 30min now. my temps look good, sitting at 54ish deg C. That is 10 degrees less than I was running at the beginning of this thread.
