Default Re: GA EP35-DS3 + E8400 problem when OC (even little)

    Here are some overclocking options:

    422 x 9 = 3.798 GHz, 422 x 2.40 = = 1013 MHz memory speed
    430 x 9 = 3.870 GHz, 430 x 2.40 = = 1032 MHz memory speed
    435 x 9 = 3.915 GHz, 435 x 2.40 = = 1044 MHz memory speed
    440 x 9 = 3.960 GHz, 440 x 2.40 = = 1056 MHz memory speed
    445 x 9 = 4.005 GHz, 445 x 2.40 = = 1068 MHz memory speed

Cpu Vcore might have to be increased somewhat at 430+ cpu speeds.
Keep in mind that at higher speeds, a 5 MHz increase won't be noticeably faster.
If you're stable at 440 MHz, you'll be putting Bee_Dee_3_Dee to shame , as he is resting on his laurels with his setup.

    Ok guys. I've set:
    My CPU 423x9
Memory as profJim said (Static tRead Value @ 7)
Runs stable - tested by Orthos blend test for 7 hours without errors

Here screens of my bios settings

and other info, i.e. memset, cpuz etc...

What changes can I made in bios? What about memory settings? can be improved?

Our MOBO's are different model although similar enough (Chipset). And our RAM may also be similar enough.

I wonder if the additional options you have in voltages are available if I changed from my F2 to F3 BIOS like you. (Anyone know? ProffJim<<< maybe?<<<<sry i="" had="" to.="" :d="" :d)="">sry I had to :D)

But first, save the following as a Master Blank Template: (You need a permanent record of your most successful settings.)

Thank you Bee_Dee_3_Dee for your suggestions :)

I'll try to lower my CPU voltage a little and check a stability

I agree with Bee_Dee_3_Dee's suggestion to find the lowest stable cpu vcore.
Once your system is stable with the lowered vcore, I'll provide you with some tighter memory timings to improve overall system performance.

Now is a good time to save your current bios settings as a bios profile. You can have up to 8 separate saved profiles.
