    If it helps: the board, CPU and other are not overclocked. They work on the default settings.

    The CPU is i920@2.66GHz and the RAM is: 3 x 1GB DDR3 Kingston 1333MHz with default timings.
    for stock settings set ram/voltage to spec settings and ram timings and ram multi,set cpu voltage to normal and qpi to 1.26000 its better than leaving them on auto,you can set performance enhance to standard if your still crashing but if not leave it on turbo

    UPS = Uninterruptable Power Supply

    The PC is powered by an UPS.

    It does not enter sleep mode, no, it simply loses power just like when you pull the plug.. and stays like that for 3 seconds, then powers up by itself and boots.

    Hello everyone

    I don't want to 'hijack' this thread (is that the correct english word?) but I have a similar problem I think.

    My computer (of course also the Gigabyte UD4P + Core920 from Intell)) sometimes boots two times ... , by that I mean I turn on the PC, I see some data on the screen and after the memtest: OK thingy the PC reboots. The second time it boots everything runs smooth. Never had problems in Windows. The 'two-time-boot' only happens about 1 out of 10 times I boot.
    I already posted this in a thread on this forum but the solution given to me was to disconnect the extrenal HD, I have done this but it didn't solve the problem ... .

    Could this be solved with the new BIOS? I have version 8. I have to go to a friend to flash the BIOS because I have not a disc drive and updating with USB stick does not work (or I am doin something wrong).

    Thanks

    David

    If you want to update through a USB thumb drive, you need to enable the legacy usb storage function in the advanced cmos settings. Right when i got my board it would do the double boot thing every time i booted her up. Dont know what the problem was , but it just dont do it anymore.
