    Default EP45-UD3P, E7400, OCZ2G10664GK, Vista 64

I'm not looking for anything special here! Just want to get stock speeds. Perhaps take the CPU up to 3.2 GHz, but the stock 2.8 GHz is fine if I can get it.

    Mobo: Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
    Version - 1.1
    Bios - updated to F8

    CPU: Intel E7400
    RAM: OCZ DDR2 1066 PC8500 2x2gig (OCZ2G10664GK)
    OS: Vista 64 w/ SP1

I would like to turn EIST off and get a consistent speed of 2.8 GHz. If someone could show me a quick and easy way to get it to 3.2 GHz without swapping hardware (fans) - that's great, but I'll take the 2.8 GHz.

I can't get the RAM anywhere near 1066, and I don't think I'm setting anything right with it.

I would be SO appreciative if someone could provide the template for setting this up in the BIOS to get the 2.8 Ghz and 1066 RAM. Thanks in advance!!!

Why do you want to switch off EIST? I know of no reason to disable it. If you want o switch it off anyway simply set it to disabled in the Advanced settings menu.

To get the RAM to run at 1066 you need to set the DRAM voltage to 2.1-2.2V and set the system memory multiplier to 4.0A.

If you want to overclock the CPU a little you need to increase the FSB to say 300 (300x10.5 =3150 MHz). You also need to lower the system memory multiplier because the RAM speed is linked to the FSB through it so icnreasing the FSB without lowering the multiplier would overclock your RAM which it cannot handle.
For this small overclock you should not need to increase any voltages.

I know this is going to sound needy - but could someone please post the full template for settings? I tried what was described in the post above, but there were still variables that kept me from finding success.

I want to turn the EIST off just so that I can look at CPUZ for 2 full minutes and see that both the CPU and RAM are running at the correct speeds.

I can post the template if that would help.

Here is my template. It's a little more than your looking for, but maybe it will give you some ideas.

enable CPU Host Clock Control, Set CPU Host Frequency to get the OC you want. Then find the right System Memory Multiplier to get your RAM up to speed. The B strap works for me.
