Thread: EasyTune6 Failure

  1. #1

    Default EasyTune6 Failure

I installed the latest version of EasyTune6, but I get the following message when I log in:

The procedure entry point SetRatio could not be located in the dynamic link library OCK.dll

I've uninstalled ET6 now, but I've also been through a few installs/uninstalls. The utility was working originally (might have been an earlier version).

Hmm... I've tried both ET6 B09.0417.1 and ET6 B09.0326.1 and I get the same error mentioned above with both. I know ET6 used to work on my system, so I don't know what happened.

Well, I submitted a service request to GigaByte, I guess I'll post back if anything comes of it. This isn't worth re-installing the O/S to fix...

I couldn't get it to work either. I could load it, but most of the tabs were useless.

Are you running a 64 bit OS? I am, Windows Server 2008 x64.

Yes, Vista-64 here. It's funny because EasyTune 6 was working for a while, and then it stopped working. I'd rather not depend on it anyway, but it's nice for viewing the different voltages.

Is there another utility for just doing that? cpuz only reports the vcore voltage (maybe that's the only one accessible from a sensor?).

I had the same issue today, and for the past two versions. I finally fixed it by uninstalling ET6, deleting "C:\Program Files\GIGABYTE\ET6\OCK.dll", then reinstalling the program.

(In fact you should probably just delete the whole ET6 directory before reinstalling it. The uninstaller is not working properly to remove files, and the installer is not working properly to overwrite them.)

    Hope it helps :)

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've been on here. My rig is the same and seems to be working pretty well. I'm thinking about a RAM upgrade, but that's about it. Oh, and I think I'm running at stock specs (not over-clocked as in my sig).

I'll definitely check out the new version of EasyTune.

    Thanks!

Has nothing to do with Windows Server. Has everything to do with the EasyTune (un)installer. It doesn't uninstall old version or update new versions properly. I'm using the AMD version BTW, but it looks like it happens with Intel version too.
