    Default ep45-ud3p and 8GB Patriot Viper 1066mhz

    I finally got tired of constant tweaking of my previous OCZ reaper hpc ram and, they saved me some cash, since they decided, couple days ago, to stop working at all.
    So... I bought these sticks, 2 kits of Patriot Viper(PVS24G8500ELKR2)... unlike OCZ these posted from the start at 1066mhz(like they should) and set advertised timings(5-5-5-15 @ 1066) which is all good, great actually.

    The problem started with Win boot failures.

    I think, I solved the problem by lowering MCH voltage to 1.05V(which I did with OCZ in order to make it work).

    Everything is working fine, did some torture testing and no errors or crashes... but, I mean, seriously, 1.05V when all dimms are populated?

    If anyone has any suggestion, idea, exp with this... please write it.

    Please post all your settings you are using and we can advise. Yes, some boards do function better, for some reason?, when the MCH is undervolted. I think it depends on the board, all timings, speeds, memory multi, and other voltages.

    If you are stable then sounds like you are good to go then. Have you ran memtest85+ for 5-10 passes or Orthos/prime95 yet?

    Nope to
    Prime and memtest85, did 2xOrthos, OCCT, OCCT Linpack, windows memory diagnostics...
    None showed any errors, nor I had any crash.
    Maybe I'm overprotective to this PC, cause its the one I use for work, cause so far, whatever I did, which would crashed unstable PC, went on without a hitch.

    Btw, this is not a oc-machine, except for MCH voltage and PCI Express, nothing else was changed from Auto.

    Ahh, well I see a few things I would change overclocked or not, especially with 8GB. But you are stable right?

    I would for sure set your ram voltage, along with some other things. If you would like my full suggestions please post me a screenshot of this program running so I can see what All those Auto's are giving you for your memory settings as a few look to be low (But Auto/What you see on the left in the BIOS is not always what is used or loaded) >>

    I have to apologize mate, the template I used was from some post, so most of the "black"(normal) values aint mine... the red/bolded ones are.
    Performance Enhance is set to Turbo, cause, from what I understood from Gigabyte's manual, thats actually an optimum performance, nothing "turbo" about it, or maybe I'm wrong. :/

    I'll try tonight the memtest85, tried Prime95 and after 9hours(thats how long I was at work) it was still working... no errors and, of course, no crashing.

    I guess I might not need worrying?
