    For his mentioned step #2, if you have issues with using 400 Strap (D Multi's) when running 266-333 FSB you will need to use the A or B Multi's

    This chart lists the system memory multipliers and their associated MCH straps.

    When your testing with different memory speeds, you'll need to select a different system memory multiplier:

    266 x 2.00 = 532 memory speed
    266 x 2.40 = 638 memory speed
    266 x 2.50 = 665 memory speed
    266 x 2.66 = 708 memory speed
    266 x 3.00 = 798 memory speed
    266 x 3.20 = 851 memory speed
    266 x 3.33 = 886 memory speed
    266 x 4.00 = 1064 memory speed

    When you're running with higher cpu frequencies, the memory speed with each system memory multiplier will obviously be higher.

    I checked your memory specs and it's rated at 1.9 volts. So far it looks like DDR2-900 is not a problem. Next time you re-boot, lower your DRAM voltage to 1.92 volts.

    Once your current setup has proven stable, let's find your memory's limits.
    Without changing any other settings, change the system memory multiplier to:
    3.20B @ 300 MHz = DDR2-960
    followed by:
    3.33D @ 300 MHz = DDR-1000 <-- this is probably at or near the limit

    You won't need to load OPTIMIZED settings for further test settings.
    Save your stable 300/900 settings in a bios profile as a fall back setting.

    We will optimize the memory timings after you have reached your desired stable over-clock.

    Once your done testing with these additional memory settings, we'll bump the cpu frequency higher with minimal bios tweaks.

    Ahh what I meant about straps and multi's above was that not always can you just use any strap/multi. Sometimes you have to select a Multi/strap letter based on the FSB Range you are using, it just depends on voltages and timings though.

    I just was trying to let you know if you tried to use a "D" multi with less that 400 FSB and it failed to boot that would be why. Higher Strap+FSB also means you have to use a higher tRD so keep that in mind as well.

    I have seen several issues with this model of ram, I tried to get a set for testing but I was blown off and passed around (Terrible PR I think) So this could be your main issue, do you have any other memory to test with, borrowed or yours?

    Can you please see if you can get this stable, or at least usable/bootable into windows for a while, for our remote assist this weekend >>>

    Lsd, Post #47 got me into Windows and so far hasn't crashed, I did however have to use 1.44375V CPU Vcore voltage...
