    What is your full settings when you say less than 1.34 Vtt will not boot? Just wondering

    At 500+ FSB 1.32-1.36 may be needed, but not always, so I just thought I would check in with you on that. 1.34 is fine though for sure

    Due to the possibility of human error, I will go try again at Vtt 1.34 and work up from there if needed.
    Is there anything that should be changed before testing(anything to Auto or something needs to be manually configured)?

    1st Attempt - 1.34 Vtt posted, but rebooted. After reboot, asked permission for safe-mode. Selected normal win boot and got BSOD.

    Repeated from 1.36 to 1.38, but rebooted trying to start win. Goes back to safe-mode permission, BSOD when starting win normally. Vtt 1.42 does boot win, but failed last nights, all night blend test. Have not tried higher Vtt.

    After going from Vtt 1.34 to 1.38 all I got was BSOD booting win, until 1.4. After seeing 'ET6' match my 1.42 & 1.4 Vtt set in BIOS('ET6' states Vtt 1.6 when BIOS set to Auto[default]), I'm beging to think that I need a higher Vtt then 1.42 just to pass Vtt in Prime95 'blend test'. I thought these modules and my FSB controller were made to take the higher voltages need? Than again, that's just speculation!

    Have you seen Vtt's higher than 1.4 - 1.42?

    I've played CSS with the three set to Auto, passed Prime95 blend test for 5 hours and no c2d from CSS. Vtt 1.42 fails blend test and c2d's CSS.

    Sorry this is short but I just stopped in for a second.

    No, you should not need 1.44 Vtt for 500 FSB, maybe 1.36 or 1.38 but above that should not be needed. But then again all CPU's are different so you never know.

    What I stopped in to say is you should try adjusting your MCH Ref amount and then try lower Vtt. Try MCH Ref of .70, if not luck try .74 and if no luck there go the other way and try higher then norm .80-84 if you have time. You may need higher then norm is why Vtt seems to be so high for you, so you may want to go that route first.

    Auto will ALWAYS overvolts things more then needed when overclocked so that is why you see 1.6. I would also be using 1.58 or so PLL

    I know that is alot of tests, but that is they way I would go as that high of a Vtt should not be needed

    500 MHz is asking a lot, even if you are running with a 6x cpu multiplier.

    Try lowering your cpu host frequency to 490 and see what what Cpu Termination value is reported by EasyTune6.
    Then see how low you can set Cpu Termination at this lower cpu speed.

    Cpu Termination is almost always less than Cpu Vcore by at least 0.05 - 0.10 volts.

    I had 800MHz stable saved in my BIOS, the Vtt in ET6 reads 1.2.
    I'll try other frequencies to check the outcome of Vtt via ET6 and post.

    Well , my vcore is 1.26875, so I'll try 1.21 & 1.16.

    @Lsdmeasap

    should I leave MCH/DRAM Ref at Auto until I find the right Vtt?
    Which is more important to make stable first?

    EDIT: See if this makes any sense. At 800MHz, Vtt via ET6 is 1.2. At 1000MHz Vtt via ET6 is 1.6. Difference of 200MHz, .4v Vtt difference from 800 to 1000 via ET6. 200/4=50, this would make me think that I would need a Vtt of 1.5v.
    I guess i'm having a hard time understanding since anything lower than 1.42 Vtt fails to post/boot or pass testing. This is with all references at Auto, regardless if MCH/DRAM is 1.1 or Auto.!?


    EDIT: So I went and tried Vtt at 1.1, 1.20 and 1.24 with all reference clocks on Auto. Machine would not post on all three!

    Ok, I actually got somewhere. I put the Vtt to 1.38 I then made the MCH Ref .70-no post, up to .74 I got no post, but when I set MCH Ref to .75 with Vtt at 1.38. I booted. I guess, now I test. Or should I set the Vtt lower before I test, than go upwards with Vtt if 1.28 fails. Should I think of MCH Ref as 55% of Vtt, because it took 55% of Vtt 1.38 to boot? (1.38*.55=.759)

    EDIT: So, 1.28/1.750 booted to windows. Should I start testing here and go up, or shold I start high and go down, what do you think is best? Plus I found out that the "55% of" means nothing!

    Maybe 55% does mean something. So I went to Vtt 1.24*.55(%), to find a base to start searching for MCH Ref. Which is .682. closest setting, .685. Booted on the first shot. Than I tried 1.24 Vtt, MCH Ref from .685 to .725, where I stopped because four MCH Ref's had booted, but not yet tested. Now I have a place to start. I can see the issue I was having now, I was not looking for the right MCH Ref to Vtt match, because I didn't know the lowest to highest possible MCH Ref to correspond. I'm just puzzled how I came up with the thought of 55% to find the lowest possible MCH Ref voltage possible.

    Fatguy19xx is 1.28/.75 which is only 58%. From there I figured that that would not be the lowest voltage possible, because the lowest voltage is not always the most stable.
    I have not tested anything over 1.24/.75.

    Assuming 1.3/.759 is alright due to no errors appearing on Prime95 start-up, I'm going to start a blend test and go shopping.

    If I up the vcore, does this mean Vtt can come down?

    DOH: Well, SUMOUT error just appeared on worker #2. Should vcore need to go up than? It took almost 15 minutes for that "SUMOUT" error to show.

    Any suggestions?
