Default Need help OCin to 3.6ghz on X48-DQ6

Hey. I tried a lot of settings to reach 3.6ghz. My proc is Q6600, my ram Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800MHz 2x2gb. I have reverted to the default optimized settings selected by the gigabyte bios to get my PC to work. Here were the settings i used previously while using dominator ram @ 1066Mhz and PC was stable at 3.4ghz. Ive changed ram to get 4gb:

    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [8]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [425]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40B] << you may also try 2.50A
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________ 5
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________ 5
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______5
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 18

ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________ 4
Rank Write to READ Delay________ 10
    Write to Precharge Delay_________ 12
    Refresh to ACT Delay______________ 64
    Read to Precharge Delay__________ 5
    Static tRead Value_______________ 9
    Static tRead Phase Adjust________ Auto

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
    DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.200V] << 2.1V (+0.3V)
    PCI-E OverVoltage Control_ [Normal]
FSB OverVoltage Control___ [+0.25V] << Less likely
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.3V]
    CPU Voltage Control_______ [1.45]

Not all Q6000 will do 3.6Ghz, at least not without insane voltages.

So you now have 2x2GB corsair right? Can you post me a link or model # for your kit you are using now.

    What BIOS are you using?

I do advise you work on getting 3.4 stable again before trying 3.6.

I am not sure what your settings are from the above table as several of them have several entries, but I would recommend this for 2x2GB at 800-900 >>>

    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [8]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [425]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.00B or 2.00D] = 850Mhz
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________ 5
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________ 5
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______5
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 15/18

Set all below to highest value first, then slowly move each down one at a time testing as you go.

ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________ 3-4
Rank Write to READ Delay________ 3-6
    Write to Precharge Delay_________ 4-8
    Refresh to ACT Delay______________ 52-62
    Read to Precharge Delay__________ 3-5
    Static tRead Value_______________ 6/7-10
    Static tRead Phase Adjust________ Auto

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.100V] << 0.1=1.9V (You may need 1.85-1.95 depending on all other settings)
    PCI-E OverVoltage Control_ [Normal]
FSB OverVoltage Control___ [+0.25V] << Less likely << Use +0.1
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.3V] << +0.2-0.3
CPU Voltage Control_______ [1.45] << all up to your chip of course, you should know the amount you need for 3.4 right? Hope so.
