    @LSDmeasap :

    Can you give me a full BIOS Template please? I do not want to overclock so here is my hardware setup.

    Processor : Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 LGA755 cpu at 2.5GHz
    Memory : 4 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix at 1066Mhz 5-5-5-15 at 2.0V (???... I dont know for sure that those memory modules are working at 2.0V or 2.2V (model number -> BL12864AA1065.8FE5)
    PSU : Enermax 550W non-modular.
    Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P Rev 1.1 (Bios -> F9)
    GPU : ASUS nVidia 8500GT 512MB PCI-Express
    DVDROM : Pioneer ATAPI
    Hard Disk : Seagate 250GB SATA
    CPU Cooler : Scythe Mugen 2

    I repeat, NO OVERCLOCKING wanted .

    thank you so much !!!

    UPDATE : LSDmeasap... I tried those settings you recommended with no luck... infinite restarts.. the memory still goes to 5-7-7-24... and the system hangs.. BSOD and stuff.. I am desperate.. I now try to run the system with only two modules of four.. (2GB total)..If you can please send me a template.. tell me what to do.. you surely know wayyyy too much... My server was running 24/7 for years before I buy this motherboard .. I changed my CPU.motherboard and memory to work more efficiently.. not to go crazy... oh well.. Im waiting for you to help me If you can.. Thanks man..

    Below are the screenshots from CPU-Z and Memset4.0 : (PS : I have now two Crucial Ballistix sticks, not four...just checking if the system will work with 2GB instead of 4GB.. )

    UPDATE : I edited the BIOS and I set 2.2V for the memories (afterall, I think I might have the 2.2V ones) My system restarts randomly .. the event viewer for example, made an event -> " The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0x80868f4b, 0xf789ec74, 0xf789e970). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP."

    Guys,
    We can't help you until you post your current bios settings (using Lsdme's template). Ignore the settings in the template. Make sure that you accurately fill in your settings.

    If a setting on your system is set to AUTO use this format so that there's no confusion.

    Cpu Core ........... 1.250000 ........ [Auto]

    Use this format so that it's clear when you've manually set the value:

    tRCD ................... 7 ................. [5]

    Add the following info for you system at the top of your bios settings, such as:

    CPU: Q9300 - 7.5 x 333MHz
    Mobo: EP45-UD3P // rev: 1.1 // bios: F8
    Ram: Crucial Ballistix 2.0 volt PC2-8500 (or DDR2 1066) 4x1GB // part# BL2KIT12864AA106A
    External link to your ram's specs goes here.

    Add your hardware list to your forum signature, it will cut down on possible errors.

    There's nothing magical with 5-7-7-24 memory timings. Every time your mobo barfs, it tries to boot a stock speeds with these settings.

    @ultraxmode

    See if this helps for error 0x0000007E.
    Which o/s are you running?

    From your screenshot, you have the 2.2 volt Crucial memory.

    I emailed Crucial (for the memory's voltage issue) cause I didnt know if my memory modules are working at 2.0V or 2.2V.

    The Crucial reply :

    "Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us. Part BL12864AA1065.8FE5 is tested and guaranteed to run at 2.2V, and if you are setting the sped to 1066MHz without increasing the voltage to the correct level, that can often cause stability problems.
    In a Gigabyte BIOS you will need to set your voltage to +0.4V to increase from 1.8V to 2.2V. For detailed settings, please see the attached data sheet. Our lab has tested the Ballistix revisions in several different motherboards, and has not consistently seen problems with our parts in motherboards based on the P45 chipset. If the memory is faulty, we will of course replace it per the terms in our warranty, but we recommend that you try running it at the correct voltage setting first, to rule out the low voltage as the cause of your problems.
    If you have further questions, please visit the Crucial Community at Memory upgrades, flash media, and usb storage at Crucial.com. For sales questions, try our online chat service at Memory upgrades from Crucial.com - Contact. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mountain Time). At Crucial, we are committed to providing high-quality products and reliable service and support.

    Best Regards,
    Kicki Lindahl"

    * Attached file is the file Crucial sent to me.

    So I raised the memory voltage to 2.2V and raised MCH Core (according to LSDmeasap's help) to 1.24V (from 1.10V)

    I ran memtest 2.1 for about 5 hours and it gave not a single error. Everything was OK.

    Next, I ran Prime95 for about 9 hours (until this morning) and it gave me just one error (Prime95, was still working today)

    So I guess my system goes better and better.. I think.. ?

    What was the elapsed test time for the 1 core that failed?

    Please add your hardware list to your forum signature. It's a PITA to have to scroll through the thread to see what your hardware setup is.

    We really can't help you more until you post your current bios settings.

    Here is what you should work at trying to get going, no overclock as you suggested but you may want to have C1E and EIST Disabled so your CPU runs at full speed
