Default "Setup did not find any hard disk drives"

I've had my build for a week or 2 now, and i just got (2) 250gb seagate 7200.10's and trying to install them in raid0 (yes i know the "risk")

i have been having problems all night and now have run into a wall..

    i've set my bios

    Onboard SATA/IDE Device [Enabled]
    Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode [Enabled]

i've created the Raid disk drive (Control + G at start-up)
    500gb total

    i save everything
    run windows XP PRO
    insert floppy when asked
installed drivers (ICH8R,ICH9R,ICH10R SATA RAID Controller)

and then when it asks to install windows, it gives me the error that says

Setup did not find any hard disk drives....

the only thing im not sure on is in the instructions it says to install the raid volume by pressing CONTROL + I (after post memory and before o.s. boot)
because it never showed it for me to press.. (which i tried anyways but nothing happened)

thanks guys i am clueless of what is wrong..

If we knew what board you had that would be a little better for us to advise, but just sounds like you either are using the wrong ports and or also looks like you are setting the wrong settings per the Intel ports you should be using

You need to connect your Hard drives to the first two yellow ports (SATA2_0 and SATA2_1) NOT GSATA. Then on reboot you can use Control + I before the IRQ Screen

Then you will need to set these settings >>>

    Integrated Peripherals

    Intel Controller (Yellow Ports)
SATA RAID/AHCI Mode (Intel ICH10R Southbridge) ............. RAID
SATA Port0-3 Native Mode ................................... Enabled (or Disabled, both will work)

Gigabyte/J.Micron Controller (Purple Ports) << These can be left enabled, disabled, or set to anything depending on if you are using IDE Devices or the Purple Ports (Again For OS RAID Use the Yellow ones)
    Onboard SATA/IDE Device (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip) ............. Enabled/Disabled
    Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip) ........... IDE/IDE_RAID/AHCI
