Is this a legal version of Vista? Guess you could have some sort of malware cause an issue like this.... . Not really sure how the problem could be hardware related.
    Antec 900 case (4 120mm and 1 200mm lighted fans + UFO flashing light set + 2 12" and 1 6" Mutant Mods meteor lights) - Aerogate ll thermal controller - Asus M2N-e SLI - AMD 64 X2 AM2 6400+ - Corsair TX650 PSU - MSI 450GTS Cyclone OC - 2 X 2GB Patriot Extreme Performance PC2 6400 RAM - SATA 320 GB Seagate HD, SATA 300GB Maxtor HD and IDE 80 GB Samsung HD - Floppy Drive/Card Reader Combo - LG SuperMulti Lightscribe 18x DVD RW - Plextor PX-716A DVD r/rw - Windows 7 Home Premium 64

    Yes Genuine Vista 64....
I find a web forum where the discussion claim it is related to
    the bios in Gigabyte
Vista loses activation after s3 sleep on GA-P35-DS4 (1.1) - My Digital Life Forums

The solution is not to go in Sleep mode and close the Pc
but i like having the S3 function where the next day
I just press the keyboard and It resume in just 5 seconds

I was Hoping i was not alone here with the same problem

That is a Known site for modifying BIOS for Vista, as is the thread you linked.

This issue only happens with Modified BIOS, so are you sure you are not using a BIOS Mod for your Vista? I know this is true from personal testing.

To make is simple you can prove to us that you are not by showing this page in Everest Ultimate (Linked Below) with this post in the background of the image like so >>>

I only ask for this so that we are all not wasting our time in helping you further with this, when we already know the issue (BIOS MOD). If you are not using a BIOS mod then you do have an issue and I will further try to help you figure it out

Everest can be obtained here >>

Yes, that is a Modified BIOS.

I suggest you first, use an official BIOS. Here is your boards BIOS page >>>
    GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-EP45-UD3P (rev. 1.0)

And here is how to flash using Qflash in case you are unsure of anything, you must load and apply optimized defaults after you flash then save/apply >>>
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/

Then you will need to purchase a copy of vista, if you paid for your Vista then you have no need to be using a modified BIOS.... So not sure why you are, but yes you are using a modified BIOS for users who did not pay for their copy of vista.

Good luck, let me know if you have any issues with flashing your BIOS. You will need to also remove or change your vista key to something other than the one you are using now (Likely an Asus one)

Ya, if you paid for that Vista install from a Shop or it came with your PC from the shop it is for sure not a genuine copy.

You can threaten to turn the shop owner into Microsoft if he does not want to give you a genuine copy!! Let me know if you would like information on doing this if your supplier does not wish to cooperate with you

This is how you can tell, a SLIC table has been inserted into the BIOS you can see here >>>

And then the install was registered with an OEM Key, usually Asus key, but could be any manufacturer really.

Gigabyte does not make OEM systems, nor do they license SLIC into the BIOS, so a Gigabyte OEM Key would not be possible.

He can give you an OEM/System Builder Install disk, but it must be genuine and not like what you have now. It will come with it's own key
