Neither MemSet 4.1 beta nor the 4.0 versions report my ram clock, 2xCorsair CM2X1024-6440C4, CPU-Z(1.52.1) reports the clock just fine.
It might be related to some Advanced Timing Controls set to AUTO. I've noticed that many/most posts with tRD = AUTO don't properly display the ram clock.

tRD is a different issue, MemSet has tRD up to 15 only so it muight display blank when set over 15. I don't see how timings should be related to clock speed.

What does driving strength does, exactly?

Damn CPU, had to increase VCORE to 1.36800 (is that the value?) cause Opera crashed a few times and then Windows gave me rather scary error message and shut down :D

Check out posts #4 - 7 in the DRAM Driving Strength Profile... wottizzit?? thread.
Vcore voltage increases by 0.00625 (1/160th), giving:
    .....
    1.35000
    1.35625
    1.36250
    1.36875
    1.37500
    ..... etc.

**edit** I just downloaded Breaking Through The Bios Barrier from here. The PDF was created on 2007/04/19.

That's interesting. I will give it a shot. Well, maybe not, cause my FSB setup seems stable :) Or maybe it could help to maintain stability at lower VDIMM or tighter timings. Either way, I believe 1066MHz Corsair modules should have no problem running at 1080 :)
For now, wish me luck with the bloody CPU testing... 1.36875 has been running for 5 hours so far. I hope I will not have to raise VCORE any more... Already getting to 70C at load spikes. I don't like the number:D

Oh and btw the windtunnel from Thermalright is ready to be picked up at the store. Expect some temperature tests later this week :) Pics too, perhaps.

Some 1066 Modules are already at their limit due to Binning, so you may need more voltages or looser timings to run over 1066. Again this applies only to "Some" modules

Man you bring back some nasty memories!!
I used to own pair of 1066 A-DATA Extreme Edition modules. They sucked hard!! They were burning like hell and refused to overclock by a single MHz no matter what. You know what I found out in the end? I don't have any proof, but from what I saw and read, I am 150% sure the *******s just grab DDR800 modules and those that can overclock to 1066 get different stickers, that's all. The Corsair ones are like Ferrari compared to um, a bicycle.

Well all 1066Mhz ram is really 800Mhz, just tested to run at 1066 with specified timings and voltages, that's why they all show 800Mhz in CPU-z SPD Tab in the "Max Bandwidth" Section by the model name

Then how is it possible that some 1066 modules are able to run at much much higher frequencies? This is interesting topic, I'd like to learn more!
