Default Ex58-UD3r : Do you HAVE to flash the bios?

    Hi All -

I've recently put together my i7 system; and everything appears to be running great. It boots up fine, everything in the computer's device manager comes through alright, my RAM all shows up in the windows detection, and my Ethernet works

So - my question becomes; if everything is working properly is it still worth it for me to flash my BIOS? I don't want things to suddenly go wrong...

Have a look at the "read me" or "changelog" and see if there is any functionality that the new bios provides and figure out if that is a function that you need. For the most part if a bios works for you and a new one has nothing to offer that you need then do not bother flashing.

I have the same motherboard and was advised to flash to f5 version.
Used quick-flash feature and it was really easy.

    Here's a great tutorial on quick-flash...
