    Default GA-X58 Extreme has 16-16-8 SLI/CFX Right?

    as mention in the topic..

    GA-X58 Extreme has 16-16-8 SLI/CFX Right?

I read some review sites claiming its 16/16/8
then in the official site it only says 16/8/8 ?

    or

its 16/16 if you use the 2 slots ?
its 16/8/8 if you use the 3 slots ?

    Is it this one? 16 X 16 X 8 MOBO

I think its the only Intel Chipset one I've found claiming to be 16x16, but I don't recall one with a third PCI-E on it.

More importantly. Isn't there a good reason we, the consumers, have never been inundated with advertising or MOBO reviews that stress a new product that is the best 16x16 ever made?!

Or a product that has been out and claims to be the best of the truly 16x16 ever made?!

Could it be because 16x8 is ample?

Something like the one 16x one is like a Master?

(sry idk sli... but i got a GTX295! hahah... so i really dk.lol)

And its not necessary for the second PCI-E slot to be faster than 8x because its like a slave and only the master slot truly needs the 16x because it does twice the communicating?

    Help from video freaks plz?

Hopefully I'm somewhat right Zerosaku. But more importantly is the answer to the questions:

Do we need 16x16, or is it overkill?

And is 16x8 is more than ample?

    Peace!
