I'm running a Q6600 GO but I'm curious: Is your RAM voltage set to 2.02 or measured at 2.02? I'm set at 2.06 and measured at 2.03.

Right now I'm just running at 800mhz on the memory and a slight 3.0 overclock on the Q6600. That's rock solid and I've tried 3.2 which was the same. haven't been able to repeat the earlier 1066 stable setting. Should have written it down, obviously.

Since I'm XP Pro 32 bit 4gb is my limit here. I do mostly music production. What did LSD mean about raising the vtt? Isn't 1.25 the limit on a Q6600? I have it set at 1.24 currently.

Hope you're wrong about the UD3P. It has run flawlessly up till this.

VTT (CPU Termination) in a 65nm chip like the Q6600 should be fine and dandy at 1.5V maybe more. They seem much more able to handle higher termination voltages.

1.4V is the commonly used "limit" for 45nm chips, and is widely regarded as the single most important voltage to keep in check, to avoid frying your CPU. You could for example happily run a water cooled dual core up to 1.55-1.6Vcore, but regardless of temps, a large termination voltage is asking for trouble.

Yes and Yes, my memory is manually set to 2.02 volts, and HWmonitor and SpeedFan both report 2.02 volts while running Prime95 blend.
I think that the PC Health Status screen in the bios reports 2.016 volts.

    Thanks Jim.

I'm gonna try messing with the MCH reference voltage today re. LSDsguide and see if that has any effect.

If that doesn't work I'm leaving it at 800 and the hell with it. I'm still puzzled. Everything else about this board and this setup is so stable I just can't believe it could be the UD3P.

I'm still suspicious that Mushkin has something different in the 996619s than the 996599s which people seem to run without a hitch. I might call Mushkin next. The online settings I got from them didn't work.

Let us know how it works out. It could just be sub-standard modules.

The only Mushkin 996599 issues I've seen recently involved 2 users with 4x2GB setups.

My only complaint is that I can't use the 4.0 system memory multiplier and run my DDR2 modules at 4 x 494 speeds = 1976MHz with absurdly loose memory timings.

BTW, Mushkin tech support is very responsive, using their forum or calling their 1-800 phone number.
