    Default GA-EP45-UD3R "Makes Me Smile"

It's My first post here so go easy on me.

I have been wanting to build a new system for quite some time now, but money always seems to be allocated to higher priorities. Since I recently recieved the GREEN LIGHT from my Wife, I knew what I wanted and ordered parts promptly.

    Mobo Gigabyte-GA-EP45-UD3R
    Case Gigabyte-Triton 180 = RMA biga$$ dent from shipping
    CPU INTEL-E8400
    Cooler Coolmaster-GeminIIS
    Ram MUSHKIN- Accent (996619)
    VGA HIS H4850QT512P
    HD WD7501AALS
    PS Lian Li PS-A470GB
    DVD Samsung SH-S223Q
    Mon HANNS-G HB191D
    Revised Case Antec P180

After a small delay with the case I finally got it all together, Crossed my fingers hit the power button and VOILA. Booted up lake a Champ, recognized ram timing right the first time. Loaded XP in no time, what a fast hard drive. Loaded & updated all the drivers & BOIS-F6.

Now here comes the "MAKE ME SMILE" part. This unit boots to XP in less than a min. when my Wife saw that she was impressed, QUOTE "it's so Quite you do need that light on the front of the case to let you know its ON" lol.

I ran a few of the tests found here all with good results. I'm not an Overclocker or a Gamer but I like Hardware that will last. My last build was a Gigabyte GA-7DXR, 8 yrs.old & it's still running stong (slow but hell it's an ATHLON). "MAKES ME SMILE".

I have made a few systems for friends over the years, they (pick&buy) everything, they seem to like A$U$ boards. Probably they just don't know any better and because I don't have degree behind my name the word GIGABYTE falls on deaf ears. Yes there systems run OK, I made them and thier Happy with them. I can honestly say that not a one of them booted up as fast and clean as this GA-EP45-UD3R. "MAKES ME SMILE".

I read about alot of problems here & the solutions, good resourses from people in the know. Maybe some day I will post (this MFB don't work) I doubt it but until then this board "MAKES ME SMILE".

My system was designed to be a homer, Light gaming, video, Office so yes for what it has to do it's slightly overbuild but "MAKES ME SMILE".

I just wanted to tell You how happy I am with the Heart of my new system and how well it performs. "MAKES ME SMILE".

Now I have to go to bed, I think My Wife has some reward thing in mind. Right now I'm thinking GIGABYTE doesn't charge enough, hell they make me a hero at home. Time to go and see if she "MAKES ME SMILE".

My Thanks to GIGABYTE & Tweak Town

It's great to read about about a trouble-free build. Smiles all around!!

You have excellent taste in hardware selection, especially your memory, cpu cooler and hard drive choices. :)
