    It recognice as I can see the 1066, but the voltage and the timmings are not the same that are recomended. please tell me which things I have to change in the bios or which are the correct settings. My CPU is a E7400 and the memory types are up in the begining with the reference.

    I have just update my signature to see if someone can help to put settings in Bios about Ram with timings and correct voltage and anything else I have to change for standard usage with 4 gb. I will not make overcloking yet. Link to my Memory specifications in PDF:

    The specs for the Kingston KHX8500D2K2/2GN are:

    DDR2- 1066MHz at a latency timing of 5-5-5-15 at 2.2V
    JEDEC standard latency 800Mhz timing of 5-5-5-18 at 1.8V
    Power supply : Vdd: 1.8V ฑ 0.1V, Vddq: 1.8V ฑ 0.1V
    Timing Reference: 5-5-5-18 at +1.8V / 5-5-5-15 at +2.2V

    If your bios isn't setup properly, Memtest86+ will generate a large number of errors.
    At 1066 speeds using 5-5-5-15 timing, DRAM Voltage = 2.20 volts is required.
    At 800 speeds using 5-5-5-18 timing, DRAM Voltage = 1.80 volts is required.

    Verify that that your memory voltage is set properly at 2.20 volts.
    If MCH Core voltage is improperly set, this too will generate errors.
    Post your bios settings so that we can see if any other settings are not correct.

    Thanks Profjim, I only have one more question, I have 4 Gb in total, should I put the MCH Core to 1.16 o higher? Also, will the timing 5-5-5-18 will give 800 Mhz? How much can I pull up the CPU Host Frequency to get 1066? I have read in Intel something about FSB 1066, this means I should put Host frequency to 266?     Sorry for asking that much, but since this is my first made of PC I will like to make sure all works correctly and no info is missing.
    Also what do you mean when you say "set to value displayed in your bios" you mean to change the auto and put what ever is display?
    When you change the Dram Voltage, should I also change something in termination and in chanel A and B reference? (This means if I change the voltage to 2.2 or ??)

    I need to correct my previous post. Your stock cpu frequency is 266MHz, not 200MHz (used in the E5xxx processors). Sorry for any confusion.

    With 4GB of memory, MCH Core is usually in the 1.22 - 1.26 range, but some memory only works at 1.05 volts.
    Incorrect MCH settings (too low or too high) will cause boot or stability problems.

    To run your memory at 1066 speeds, the minimum cpu host frequency is 266MHz. Using the 4.00A system memory multiplier, 4 x 266 = 1066MHz.
    Your memory performance might be better at 800MHz if you can use tighter 4-4-4-12 memory timings. You could run your memory at the tighter settings, with system memory multiplier = 3.00A, for 3 x 266 = 798MHz.
    You will need to do stress testing to ensure that your system is stable at the new settings.
    Don't confuse 1066 FSB with 1066 memory speeds.

    The displayed bios value is to the left of the [Auto] setting in the bios. The Auto settings often work fine for non-overclocked systems, but sometimes cause boot or stability issues. Manually setting some of these settings to the "normal" (displayed) values often clears up stability issues.

    Don't change any Reference or Termination settings. We're here to advise you with recommendations when you're tweaking your system. I don't know what would happen if you changed every AUTO setting to the displayed value in the bios. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    Post a screenshot with:
    Memset using the SPD and ">>" tabs
    cpu-z main screen

    With this info, we can provide the proper Static tRead Value for your memory to further improve performance.

    Please post a single screenshot of your working (800MHz) setup using:
    Memset with SPD and ">>" tabs
    cpu-z main screen
    EasyTune6 --> Tuner tab --> Advance tab --> Voltage tab

    The MCH Core = Auto setting with your 1066 setup is probably preventing your system from booting. In post #13, I listed the necessary required settings for nagonsa's 1066 setup. If you apply all of those settings, you might do better.

    Your mobo might be limiting your use at 1066 memory speeds. Value ram (any brand) makes it harder to use maximum memory speeds.

    Keep in mind that 800MHz memory speeds can use tighter memory timings that will perform at similar levels to 1066 speeds with looser timings. In some cases, your overall system performance with 800MHz will surpass the performance using higher memory speeds.

    My backup system (E2140 + P35-DS3L, overclocked to 2.80GHz) performs better with my DDR2-800 memory running at 875MHz with 4-4-4-10 timings than it does at the same cpu speed with 1066 - 1100MHz memory settings with 5-5-5-15 memory timings.

    In regards to the MCH Core, I will give this a try later today.

    I will be a bit p*$!ed if the mobo can not run the RAM at spec.

    Both Mobo and RAM are sold as a clocked bundle from a well known UK OC vendor. I copied the spec of mobo and RAM, but purchased unclocked, with the ability to OC if required.

    I am not to sure what affect I will see if running RAM at 1066, currently @ 800Mhz the machine flys, compared to my last build which was based on AMD 64 & DFI setup.

    And that's just the beginning.

    With a 25% overclock:
    cpu = 333MHz, memory = 800MHz (2.40B x 333) your machine will be a screamer

    With a 50% overclock:
    cpu = 400MHz, memory = 960MHz (2.40B x 400) your machine will be OhMyGawd

    You'll need a good cpu cooler to reach the higher overclocks.
    You're currently at 2.9GHz, 3.5GHz is within reach without using 1066 memory speeds.

    What is your current cpu cooler? stock Intel? aftermarket?
