    Unhappy Gigabyte x58 extreme problem

    hi all
    i have gigabyte x58 extreme & i got new corsair 3 channel 6g 1600mhz
    but whene i installed the ram and turned it on there was (beeeb) sound????
    and error number (b8) ?????
    non of the socket is working ecxept number (1-white color&5-white color)

    now i have dule channle the and am looking to the thaird one.

    i updated the latest bios F7 but nothing please heeeeeeeeeeeelppppp

    Hello,

    When you flashed your BIOS did you follow the guide on this site http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/ ? If not give it a quick read and make sure you loaded optomized defaults. Once your have that done put the memory in the white slots 1, 3, and 5. If you find that having three sticks within those slots does not work remove stick five and try to boot it with slots 1 and 3 if still it will not post try using just one stick in slot 1. That should get your started.

    If all that fails test each stick individually to make sure you dont have a bad stick. Memtest 86+ V2.11 is a good bootable memory testing program Id run that for 4 passes.

    there was problem in soket 3 from the fectory and i repleced it with x58 ud3r and i think it is ok

    Great to hear. When you say there was a problem with socket 3 you mean DDR socket 3?
