Default EP45-DS4 devices disappear after resuming from S3 sleep

I've noticed that both my DVD drives, as well as my PCI-E parallel port, disappear from device manager as soon as my EP45-DS4 PC has been into S3 sleep and then resumed. The only way to get them to reappear is to reboot the PC.

Can anyone suggest how I can fix this behaviour?

What BIOS Version are you running? The latest version F9 fixes some resume issues. GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS Download if you havnt tried it that would be the first thing to do. Perhaps take note of your BIOS Settings before the flash. Follow LSDMEASAPS Flashing guide here. http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm already on F9. Before F9 I couldn't get S3 to work at all.
