    Default GA-MA790FXT-UD5P Bios F3K

I contacted Gigabyte Technical Support and asked them if F3K is the latest bios. However they told me the latest / newest bios is F5C. How is this possible? Which is better optimised? Because I installed Corsair DDR3 Ram Kits at stock 1600 MHZ (Two kits of 4x2=8GB total ram) But My motherboard runs them at 1066 MHZ.

It's sad to say but Gigabyte is one of the most sorriest companies to deal with. I went to MSI and got a better reply and a forum that people talk about things.

Ya, I'm personally very underwhelmed by the tech support that gigabyte provides.
I too have the same mainboard, but have yet to update the BIOS, because my computer will not stay running long enough.

Problem with this forum is they only seem to be interested/bother people with Intel motherboards.

    Hi
I have just built a new set up with Corsair DDR3 TW3X4G1600C9DHX on a GA-MA790FXT-UD5P hoping to run at 1600Mhz. CPU Phenom II X4 955 BlackEdition. I have not started to tweek the BIOS as there seems to be issues with 1600RAM on this MOBO. Have updated the BIOS to F5 and the the system seems to be running fine with XP SP3 HE.
Does anyone have the optimum settings to get the board running the Corsair RAM at 1600.
    Thanks

    Thanks artdrivers
I think Ive checked these manufacters' info - not much on my combo infact Corsair recommend their RAM for the mobo but Gigabyte dont list the Corsair RAM!

I am relying on an end user with the same combination of components to give me their settings.

    Many thanks for this info
