    Question. On My Motherboard, the volts I set in the BIOS for my CPU and the Volts Displayed by CPU-Z are Very close, like BIOS = 1.25v and CPU-Z = 1.24v, Does that mean I have very little vdroop?? Is running my E8500 @ 3.8 on Stock?? 1.25v a good sign?

    If it's 1.24V at idle, then no, you have low Vdrop. Vdroop is the difference between idle and load voltages. If you have LLC enabled, this will be zero at most reasonable Vcore levels.

    I apparently have a high vid, requiring me to go higher than most people would have to. I also have a bad vdroop... there is usually something close to .035v difference for me between my vCore and what CPUz shows. Think I want a new chip...

    Vdrop and Droop are more motherboard dependant. The Vdrop and Vdroop I experienced was identical with both my Q8200 and my E7400.

    To be honest, I think you have quite a good overclocker. An average E0 is much better than many of the best C1 stepping E8xxx chips. I'll swap you for my E7400 any day. It konks out at 3.9, and runs much much hotter than your CPU.

    Never mind m8. It must be either MCH ref or a slight vcore bump/VTT bump needed, easily fixable.

    Have you thought of being a bit daring and going straight for 4.4GHz with 1.3625Vcore, 1.3VTT and MCH Ref to 0.720 @ 1.2VTT? Could be fun, and you might get stable right away. You could then aim higher, or lower Vcore until you fail. Watch temps though.

    Actually, just failed small fft with 1 step down of mch ref to 0.732v with 1 step up vcore to 1.26875v. I know I was being really stingy with the cpu voltages. Going to try 1 step up on vtt with the 0.732v mch ref and 1.26875v vcore now.

    Those MCH refs sound wierd. Be sure to lower VTT (CPU Term) to 1.200V first else you get the strange %ages like 0.732. Unless o.732 is what it scales to at your VTT level, I could be wrong.

    My best results were at 0.740 @ 1.2VTT and for higher clocks 0.720 at 1.2VTT.

    If I fail a test, I always try all 3 likely good MCH Refs @ 1.2vtt (0.70, 0.72, 0.74) and a step both up and down of CPU ref. I try these values for VTT of 1.2 to 1.4V inclusive making sure to try all combos before moving on.

    I have a feeling that enabling LLC if it's off, or a small Vcore bump might do the trick tho. 18 Hrs is a long time before failiure. MCH ref is more dramatic. Eg at 0.760 @ 1.2VTT I failed Large ffts in seconds, but at 0.740V I was 6 hours stable, and 0.720V I was 24 hour stable in large fft.

    I had set the vtt back to 1.20v before changing mch ref and then move my vtt back to 1.22 and mch ref of 0.732v was what it scaled to. No 0.74 nor 0.72 so I figure in between... sure why not.

    Going to try this. Mch ref close to my previous 0.752v setting but slightly lower, as 0.732v was a disaster even with a bump up on vcore.

    I don't think you need to raise your PLL.
    The MCH Ref number I have shown is what I set at vTerm 1.2v. When I set vTerm back up to 1.3v, the MCH Ref is something like .808xv. Like Psycho said, make adjustments to ref's at nominal vTerm.

    And, no, I won't trade her. I will, however, run her till she cries!
