    Default Q6600 EP45-UD3P keep failing OCCT large data set

    CPU: Q6600 G0 Vid:1.275
    MOBO: Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Ver 1.0 (Bios tried F4 and currently F9)
    RAM: G.SKILL F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800
    PSU: Corsair TX 750
    VIDEO: EVGA GTX 260 216 core

    Problem:
    I am trying to get it stable at 400 FSB x 8 which is 3.2 Ghz for a month.
    My current vcore is 1.20 on CPU-Z, I can pass 4 hours of linx, 2 hours of OCCT linpack and at least 12 hours of OCCT (small data set) with this voltage. But whenever I tried OCCT (large data set) I cannot pass 24 hours test, and I found that whenever I lower my cpu termination to below 1.28 it will fail OCCT large data set within an hour, if I set it at 1.2 it will fail within 5 - 10 min.
    I tried MCH Core from 1.2 - 1.3 it doesnt seem to help about the stability issue.
    I also tried different memory latch 333 to 400.
    I currently don't think its my cpu or RAM issue because the CPU can clearly run linx or OCCT with no problem at all and RAM passes memtest86 for 4 hours.
    After all the testing, I believe its the motherboard that create the stability issue, because I don't think anyone with this board needs 1.3 vtt for a 400 FSB on this mobo, do any of you experts have any idea?

    Well working from the bottom up vtt is supposed to be a little less than your cpu core voltage in bios(which is what by the way?) Ie how much vdroop are you getting.
    Copy n paste up your full bios settings using lsdmeasap's sheet .
    What speed will your memory run at max?

    Its been awhile but I dont think my cpu was running happily at 1.2 volt (running voltage) at around 400 fsb ref.(2.8Ghz cpu)
    (Vid:1.225)
    Id be expecting more like 1.23 in cpu-z,for yours for testing at 3.2 Ghz but I couldnt be bothered going back to check n test ;0
    Also the q6600 is supposed to be able to take a little more voltage.
    Then again is that voltage with CIE /EIST enabled or with OCCT running?


    Try 399 or 401 cpuhost/fsb ref,
    Also you can leave the latch frequency on auto and try the 2:00B or 2:00D multiplier whenever you wish.
    Whats your memory performance setting at?
    Well nm post away your bios settings and Im sure you will get more responses.

    I tried quite a lot of different combo, and I still can't do a 24 hours large data set, the max time it passes is around 13 hour and ending up with a blue screen. My cpu's voltage is enough because 4 hour of linx, 2 hour of linpack and 12 hour of OCCT small data set with no error. I have LCC enabled and the real vcore is 1.2 both in idle and load. CPU temperature with linx/linpack is at around 57 for all cores. I'm starting to think if this is a defected mobo ><
    I will try to do a 399 and 401 FSB later on, I am currently doing a 24 hour test on optimized default because I only did a 12 hour run before. I searched a bit but most people don't have a FSB hole at 400.
    I've been trying to get a stable setting for a month, and it keeps on failing large data set tests.

    This doesn't really prove anything. I've had times when I've run Prime Small FFT for 12 hours and done 50 runs of IBT only to have Prime Large FFT (similar to OCCT large data set) fail after 3-4 hours. A bump in Vcore sorted it out right away.

    You may be lucky and have a golden CPU, but the odds are against you being stable on an 800MHz overclock with less than stock voltage. Try the following settings, then if they pass OCCT for 24 hours, you can reduce Vcore back down until you find the minimum needed to be stable. When reducing Vcore, it's a good idea to scale VTT back down too, making sure that VTT is never above Vcore. Load optimized defaults, save and exit before entering the following values in the BIOS:
