    Default EP45 UD3P rev 1.0 - is it superseded by 1.1?

    Hi,
Please advise which revision should I buy tomorrow:
    - Rev. 1.0 is much easier to get and I hear it has just higher heatsink.
    - Rev. 1.1 is newer, therefore usually more likely to have updates.
    - I have no other information on differences between them

Higher heatsink doesn't matter for me; other (plus all unknown) differences could matter, so please contribute what you can quickly.
    Regards,
    Paul

I bought my EP45-UD3P from Newegg back in April and got rev 1.1. I'm not sure how you could even get a 1.0 if the place you're buying it from sells it regularly.

Yes it's a pity, they still sell it here in Europe and also USA eBay without guaraneeting any particular revision - I contacted a few.

The board itself is the same, only the heatsinks were changed. This has been confirmed by Gigabyte, and is also supported by the fact that both rev. 1.0 and 1.1 uses the same BIOSes, which usually doesn't happen if there are actual changes to the board.

I bought mine from Scan.co.uk, and they're a big market player in the UK. Had the UD3P on pre-order for 5 days before their new stock came in, and got a rev 1.0 board. Differences, as already discussed are minor, and both appear to perform the same.

    Thanks to all contributors.
I decided to make an effort and get this revision 1.1 after all.
For want of other info, I reasoned that rev. 1.1 will have potentially higher resell value two years down the line - might not amount to much, but it'll make the new owner a tad happier, even if revs 1.0 were not superceded after all.
    Have a great weekend all!

    ...
I meant, for want of any critical factors...
Infos from you all were indeed helpful and appreciated.
