I don't know since I just got back, don't know where you are right now. You'd have to post your settings

They are already posted. I have been working with Psycho101 and he has been GREAT! Nothing against anyone else, because I would like as much input as possible! But I should probably concentrate on trying one persons suggestions at a time!

    Thanks a Bunch!

I agree, Sorry to chime in, you are right two helpers is far more confusing. I just thought I would drop in since I was here and saw you had just posted.

Good luck getting things going, no offense taken at all! Psycho101 is a great guy, he will get you going for sure

    Well,
I just went back and loaded the Optimized Defaults again! And this time I esc.'d out of it and saved it to CMOS and restarted. And then reset the settings back to what Psycho101 told me, and then ran Prime95. It stopped running at 3 Minutes again!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to post that. Because I really need to get this done by this evening if at all possible? My goal is a stable 4.00 GHz.

I had it running at 3.73 GHz with the only adjustments being the memory timings and voltage. And it ran Prime95 for 6 1/2 hours before 1 core/worker stopped working!

So, if Psycho101 is out there I am back at my computer.

If not I could sure use the help offered by LSDmeasap! And I Would, But It Has Been A Few Years! I would have to make a few phone calls! Ha, Ha, Ha! Just Kidding! I sure had some wild and good times in the past going on TRIPS if you know what I mean?!

Anyway, back to REALITY! Thanks and hope to get this finished soon! P.S.--I will be at my computer the rest of the day!

Remember that those 6 1/2 hour stable settings failed Prime Large FFT after 2 minutes on one core, so how stable they are is questionable. It could have been a freak occurrence, but I doubt it.

CPU voltage should not be an issue really at 3.6GHz, What you have set now should be more than enough.

Just before scrapping other voltage settings and starting over, try using a different system memory multiplier. Keep (G)MCH latch on auto and see if there are any 4.0 multi's with different letters next to them, for example 4.00a, 4.00b etc.

    Well,
I am back from the dead! That was kind of scary! There was a 4.00A, 4.00B, and 4.00C. I tried 4.00A first, and could not get it to boot! Then I tried 4.00B, and it booted! But it did not do any better with Prime95!!!
And then the dreaded 4.00C!!!!! I could not get it to boot, and it got stuck in a continous loop of re-starting!!! I shut the computer off for over a half an hour 2 times and it still would not boot past the POST display screen and then re-start!!! I kind of gave up and took a short nap, and decided to try it once more just a minute ago. And thank GOD or whom ever, it booted!!! And I changed it back to 4.00D, like we had it from the beginning!

Anyway, I am back on-line now!!!

Have a look at some of the threads here. One you might find usefull: http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/anot...erclock-31304/

I'm a bit puzzled as to why you should be failing prime so quickly. I still think it could be something to do with the RAM. You might want to try a 3.33 multi to bring it down to DDR-1333.

You're armed with most of the information you need to try a few things out. Test a range of MCH core voltages. Which ever (if any) give you more time before Prime fails, keep and move on to another voltage setting. Try raising and lowering CPU termination, not going higher than the current Vcore.
