Thread: EP45C-DS3R breaks in sound

    Question EP45C-DS3R breaks in sound

    Hi Gigabyte
I have the config shown in my Sig
I'm having the latest drivers for every thing
I'm Running winxp latest DX and no OC at present

My problem is as old as my PC (about 2months)

The issue is when ever I play any music, Video etc on MPC, Winamp ,VLC, WMP or even the 3D audio Demo of the Realtek HD audio Manager I get a vrey annoying breaks/skips in sound periodically 2-5 seconds apart and the play back goes pathetic (slightly slow) for every thing except in-game sound or music

And doing some thing like uninstalling Klite resolved the issue until reboot, but after that same problem, ditto after uninstalling ATI Functional Driver for HD audio that is probably my HD4850's audio driver!

I also have Vista on the same box and there are cracks in sound to but less prominent
I have Klite on vista too, I also checked all my wiring for lose cabling

Guys any help will be much appreciated

Do you have DES (Dynamic Energy Saver) installed? If so, uninstall it and see if things are corrected.

    What BIOS are you using?
