    Don't be scared, Flash it!!

You have two cards so you can always flash it again with the old one if it fails, so you have no worries.

Nice deal on that card on ebay too!! I need to get me a 4870 sometime soon, see any nice deals on a sapphire on PM me

    I have a Dell 22" UltraSharp 2208WFP

Nice, Actually thats the monitor I always liked. Its IPS isnt it? I always wanted one of those but it doesnt seem that they are available anymore. Its the same design as my old 1907WFP which I liked the look of. I wont be uping the clock on this dell stock card anytime soon untill it gets better cooling.

However I may be interested in testing a modified BIOS of the MSI that will let me underclock it a tad back to stock speeds to see if that actually makes a difference with the 2 different clocked Crossfire card.

EDIT: Also LSD the Title of the thread is misleading. Please check sig for system build details. I just cant change thread title :-(

I don't think so, I think it is TN

I found mine on ebay, Refub from Best Buy Outlet, $149 + CashBack 8% + 10% off coupon, so great deal I could not pass up on. Monitor looks and act BRAND NEW, nice I think. Even has side USB Ports and the sound bar.

I had a 20" Dell that was IPS but couldn't pass the deal up on this 22" one

There is a few on ebay now for 149 if you are still looking

Well grab the BIOS that is on it now, or a MSI One and mod it for less clocks. Do you need help with that or you just been putting it off?

Well, I didnt even know you could Mod Video Card BIOS untill the other day when Psycho suggested he was going to do it. I will wander over to TechPowerUps and see about that program. Ur Right I pretty much have been putting things off. Really Im just wishing unrealistly that by some magic I will get more FPS out of ARMA 2's buggy Engine. Were still within the first Gig of Patches for the game so Give it a couple more gigs and we might be right, just like Arma 1. Its still an awesome game and Ill still play it. Im just fussy I Guess. lol.

Yes you are right I did a quick google and it is indead a TN pannel just like the 1907FP. Still an awesome screen. As for me getting one. No I just got this 2209WA IPS and its fantastic. Its going to see me for a while. Sounds like you got yours for a bargin anyway. lol

Hmm, I guess I should have looked a bit more. I didn't think any 22" ones were IPS, but ya I got a nice deal anyway around $129 I think for a 22". Pretty nice considering I sold a older 19" for $100 to make the cash back. So really I paid $30 for it :)

Well it seems that I've gotten shafted on this card.....

On initial inspection, one of the pin holes on the first DMI socket is completely mangled. The one large horizontal pin hole at one end is also blocked by snapped plastic.

On installing it, the UD3P gives a "No VGA" beep code. The second board (no name HP branded) just sits there with the GPU fan up full. No picture on screen on either board.

I wish people would be honest and test things first. I've contacted him, so hopefully he'll refund me. If he gives me the "No Refunds" bull sh1t I'll just do a PayPal charge back and leave him negative feedback. I've had to do that before on someone who didn't understand that when you accept PayPal, there's no such thing as no refunds.....

Looks like I'll be bargain hunting for a bit longer....
