What's weird, is that win7 reports that p95 has stopped working, yet my core temps still indicate that they are under full-load. It's only when I actually close-out the win error message that the core temps revert back to what's normal for idle.

Some incompatibility perhaps. This ONLY happened when I was unstable though! I would get "standard" error sooner or later anyway. When I decreased FSB frequency it didn't happen again.
I am too burned out to test this :D

Have you adjusted your mch reference? Using the correct mch reference should resolve abnormal errors.

I have Windows 7 and that doesn't happen to me.

    I've played with +1R, 0R, -1R, -2R, -3R; with -3R being the most stable, but yields this win7 error after ~6hrs.

Note: xR where x is the number of clicks above or below the system default.

and only certain combinations of Vtt, vMCH, and vDRAM yield this error. Others fail "normally" in p95 with the same MCH Ref setting.

Going to do last test, default values in BIOS and some stress testing. Wondering what the temperatures will be.

    WHY DID I EVEN BOTHER...:

Thank you for your kindly mail and inquiry. About the issue you mentioned, due to the different environment (country, location...etc) and the hardwares (computer case, cooling fan...etc) the user have, so if the temperature does not caused the system to crash or unstable, the temperature is acceptable.

But, if you still concern about the overheat problem, we suggest you can try to clean up the cooling fan or add additional cooling fan to help cooling down your computer. And we also suggest you can contact your system supplier or distributor and see if they help you to check your system temperature directly. For distributor contact informaion, please click HERE.

At last, if you still have any further question or suggestion about our products/service, please do not hesitate to contact with us directly. We will try our best to help you resolve the problem ASAP.

    Regards,
    GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY

So you can say you have tried?

Is it the NorthBridge temps you were concerned about? It's TCase is 103c, let it burn!
I have ordered a Scythe KAMA THERMO I'll do a what's coll what's warm and what burns, when it arrives.
Not the same chipset, and I am only at 400FSB, but they have the same Max TDP and TCase, enough to give a clue about what the temps are.

    lol :D
you got a point there, but lower temperature MIGHT add to stability, plus it heats the surroundings up as well.. for example the stupid soundcard is hot as hell itself!
