Default Possible issue with ex58-ud4p f9a bios. Please help.

I updated from f8 to f9a in order to fix a sleep issue while OC. It did resolve this issue however I did notice through cpu-z that the multiplier for the processor and stuff is not dropping to like 12 like it did before when just sitting in the OS and its not doing something. You know how the system drops down when at idle until one puts a load on it. even though its ar 1% usage cpu-z is showing its running at 21x all out and never drops down.

Below are my settings, that have been thoroughly tested to be stable when I was using f8 bios.

Well its definently not dropping the multipliers down when the cpu is at idle to save power like it was in bios f8. Could this hurt anything? Anyone else using this version experiencing this, I've lowered my overlock and try adding a little voltage, turned turbo off, nothing seems to affect it.

    Please help!

loaded stock, only thing I modified was timings and voltage for my ram and it still will not throttling down the cpu speeds like it was in bios f8 at idle. 9fa did fix the sleep issue in oc however its not allowing the system to throttle down when there is no load on it.

Is anyone else seeing this? Contemplating going back to F8.

Yay! F9b fixed it, cpu will throttle down and I can now come out of sleep when oced. Go GIGABYTE bios people and testers!!! I'm a happy camper. Thanks for the reply.

Glad the new bios fixed it, I hope the official F9 comes soon.

Did you check if the bios UD4P F9b have the new AHCI ROM 1.20e?
