    Default EP45-DS3L S3 Overclock Problem

Hi everyone, I've been lurking this entire thread for a fix for my problem as I've noticed others have had similar issues regarding the DS3L and S3 standby. I've decided to create my own thread, both to look for help and to provide information to other mobo users.

First off, I will list my specs:

    Intel e5200 (3.8Ghz)
    EP45-DS3L
    G.Skill 4GB DDR2-1000 2x2GB
    Asus 8800GS
    Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4
    FSP Fortron 550W PSU

As you can see, I've overclocked my cpu to 3.8Ghz stable (voltage is 1.4250 in BIOS, but in HWMonitor, it shows only as 1.39). The only issue is I am unable to come out of S3 standby. Basically what happens for me is that once I press the power button to wake my computer up, it powers up for about 1 second, turns off, tries to go on again, and basically hangs, showing nothing on the screen. I have to turn my PSU off and then try to turn it on again. When I change my FSB, Multiplier and voltage to 333, 9 and v1.150, my computer will enter S3 and come out of it perfectly fine. I will now post my BIOS settings for LSD or anyone else to review, and offer advice.

    Thanks,

    Curtis.

What BIOS are you using? F9 should have resolved the S3 resume problem so you should flash to that or F10 if you're not allready using them. Although I did have the same board, I can't tell you if it works, as I never power off my system. And anyways, I was using F8 as it seemed to be the most stable while OC'ing for me.

I'm on F10. Both F9 and F10 didn't work. I'll try downgrading to F8 now. Thanks for the information.

I don't think F8 will solve your S3 problem. I only used it because despite the fact it was older than F9 and F10 it seemed to help me get to higher FSB more stable than F9 or F10.

Oh. Well you were right, it didn't really help, but I'm somewhat desperate now because S1 is driving me nuts..
